41:15
اِذۡ جَآءَتۡہُمُ الرُّسُلُ مِنۡۢ بَیۡنِ اَیۡدِیۡہِمۡ وَمِنۡ خَلۡفِہِمۡ اَلَّا تَعۡبُدُوۡۤا اِلَّا اللّٰہَ ۖ قَالُوۡا لَوۡ شَآءَ رَبُّنَا لَاَنۡزَلَ مَلٰٓئِکَۃً فَاِنَّا بِمَاۤ اُرۡسِلۡتُمۡ بِہٖ کٰفِرُوۡنَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
When their Messengers came to them from before them and behind them, saying: ‘Worship none but Allah,’ they said: ‘If our Lord had so willed, He would have certainly sent down angels. So we do disbelieve in that with which you have been sent.’
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
جب اُن کے پاس ان کے سامنے بھی اور اُن سے پہلے زمانوں میں بھی پیغمبر آتے رہے کہ اللہ کے سوا کسی کی عبادت نہ کرو۔ اُنہوں نے کہا اگر ہمارا ربّ چاہتا تو ضرور فرشتے اتار دیتا۔ پس ہم یقیناً، جس پیغام کے ساتھ تم بھیجے گئے ہو اس کا، انکار کرنے والے ہیں۔
French
Lorsque leurs Messagers vinrent à eux du début à la fin, leur disant : « Adorez seulement Allāh, » ils dirent : « Si Notre Seigneur l’avait voulu, Il aurait certainement fait descendre des anges. Nous refusons donc de croire en ce avec quoi vous avez été envoyés. »

Da ihre Gesandten zu ihnen kamen von vorn und von hinten (und sprachen): "Dienet keinem denn Allah", da sprachen sie: "Hätte unser Herr es gewollt, Er würde zweifellos Engel herabgesandt haben. So lehnen wir das ab, womit ihr gesandt worden seid."

当众使者从他们的前后[1182]来临, (说:) “除开安拉, 你们不要崇拜任何对象。” 他们说: “如果我们的养主愿意, 他必下降了天使。所以我们的确不信你们的使命。”
安拉的使者在民族存在的整个时期都继续出现。
Italian
Quando i loro messaggeri si erano recati da loro, da davanti a loro e da dietro di loro, dicendo: «Non adorate nessuno all'infuori di Allah», essi risposero: nostro Signore avesse voluto così, certamente avrebbe mandato giù degli angeli. Così, noi non crediamo in ciò con cui voi siete stati mandati.»

Cuando sus Mensajeros llegaron a ellos por delante y por detrás, diciendo: “No adoréis a nadie sino a Al-lah”, dijeron: Si nuestro Señor así lo hubiese querido, habría enviado ciertamente ángeles. No creemos pues en aquello con lo que has sido enviado”.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
یعنی جب اُن کے پاس اُن کے آگے سے بھی اور اُن کے پیچھے سے بھی رسول آئے (یعنی قومی زندگی کے دوران میں متواتر رسول آئے) یہ کہتے ہوئے کہ اللہ کے سوا کسی کی عبادت نہ کرو‘ تو انہوں نے ان کو جواب دیا کہ اگر ہمارا رب چاہتا تو ہم پر خود فرشتے نازل کر دیتا۔ پس ہم اس تعلیم کا جس کے ساتھ تم کو بھیجا گیا ہے انکار کرتے ہیں۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
When their Messengers came to them from before them and from behind them,[2627A] admonishing them, ‘Worship none but Allah,’ they said, ‘If our Lord had so willed, He would, certainly; have sent down angels. So we do disbelieve in that with which you have been sent.’
Divine Messengers continued to appear during the whole span of their national life.

When their Messengers came to them from before them and from behind them, saying: [a]‘Worship none but Allah,’ they said: ‘If our Lord had so willed, He would certainly have sent down angels. So we do disbelieve in that with which you have been sent.’[3567]

Commentary:
The verse means to say that the Prophets of God used all possible means to make their people accept the Divine Message and also warned them of Divine punishment if they rejected it.
اردو ترجمہ مودودی
جب خدا کے رسول اُن کے پاس آگے اور پیچھے، ہر طرف سے آئے اور انہیں سمجھایا کہ اللہ کے سوا کسی کی بندگی نہ کرو تو انہوں نے کہا "ہمارا رب چاہتا تو فرشتے بھیجتا، لہٰذا ہم اُس بات کو نہیں مانتے جس کے لیے تم بھیجے گئے ہو"
English - Sahih
[That occurred] when the messengers had come to them before them and after them, [saying], "Worship not except Allah." They said, "If our Lord had willed, He would have sent down the angels, so indeed we, in that with which you have been sent, are disbelievers."

جب ان کے پاس رسول آئے ان کے سامنے سے اور ان کے پیچھے سے کہ سوائے الله کے کسی کی عبادت نہ کرو تو کہنے لگےکہ اگر ہمارا رب چاہتا تو فرشتے نازل کر دیتا پس ہم تو اس چیز سے جو تم دے کر بھیجے گئے ہو منکر ہیں

When came to them the Messengers from before them and from behind them, (saying) "Do not worship except Allah." They said, "If (had) willed our Lord, surely, He (would have) sent down Angels. So indeed, we in what you have been sent with (are) disbelievers."

When the Messengers came unto them from before them and from behind them, saying, 'Serve none but God,' they said, 'Had our Lord willed, surely He would have sent down angels; so we disbelieve in the Message you were sent with.'

When the Messengers (of Allah) came to them from the front and from the rear, saying: “Do not serve any but Allah”; they said: “Had our Lord so willed, He would have sent down angels. So we deny the Message you have brought.”

Their apostles came to them one after the other (saying): "Do not worship any one but God." They said: "If our Lord had pleased He would have sent the angels down. We reject what is sent with you."

Commentary:
