42:22
اَمۡ لَہُمۡ شُرَکٰٓؤُا شَرَعُوۡا لَہُمۡ مِّنَ الدِّیۡنِ مَا لَمۡ یَاۡذَنۡۢ بِہِ اللّٰہُ ۚ وَلَوۡلَا کَلِمَۃُ الۡفَصۡلِ لَقُضِیَ بَیۡنَہُمۡ ۗ وَاِنَّ الظّٰلِمِیۡنَ لَہُمۡ عَذَابٌ اَلِیۡمٌ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Have they such associates of Allah as have made lawful for them in religion that which Allah has not allowed? And but for Our word about the final judgment, the matter would have been decided by now between them. And surely the wrongdoers will have a grievous punishment.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
کیا اُن کے حامی ایسے شرکاءہیں جنہوں نے اُن کی خاطر ایسے دینی احکام جاری کئے جن کا اللہ نے کوئی حکم نہیں دیا تھا؟ اور اگر طریقِ فیصلہ کا فرمان موجود نہ ہوتا تو ان کے درمیان معاملہ فوری نپٹا دیا جاتا اور یقیناً ظالموں کے لئے دردناک عذاب (مقدر) ہے۔
French
Ont-ils des associés d’Allāh qui ont établi pour eux des commandements religieux qu’Allāh n’a pas autorisés ? Et n’était-ceNotre décret pour le jugement final, certainement l’affaire aurait déjà été décidée entre eux. Et assurément les injustes auront un châtiment douloureux.

Haben sie Nebengötter, die ihnen eine Glaubenslehre vorgeschrieben haben, die Allah nicht verordnet hat? Und wäre es nicht für den Urteilsspruch, zwischen ihnen wäre schon gerichtet. Und gewiss, den Frevlern wird schmerzliche Strafe.

难道他们的与安拉同等的 (崇拜) 对象, 在宗教中为他们把安拉所未允许的东西定为合法的? 如果不是 (安拉) 早有最后的判决, 那么, 他们之间的 (事情现在就能) 有决定。不义的人必将遭受痛苦的惩罚。

Hanno tali associati ad Allah, che gli abbiano reso lecito, in materia di religione, cose che Allah non ha permesso? Se non fosse per la Nostra parola sul giudizio finale, la questione sarebbe già stata decisa tra di loro. E, per certo, i malvagi avranno un doloroso castigo.

¿Tienen ellos partícipes tales con Al-lah que les han hecho lícito en la religión lo que Al-lah no ha permitido? Mas de no er por Nuestra palabra sobre el juicio final, el asunto ya se habría decidido entre ellos. En verdad, los inicuos tendrán un humillante castigo.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
کیا ان کے لئے کوئی ایسے شریک ہیں جنہوں نے ان کے لئے ایسی دینی تعلیم تجویز کی ہے جس کا اللہ نے حکم نہیں دیا اور اگر (اللہ تعالیٰ کی طرف سے) آخری[2] فیصلہ نہ ہو چکا ہوتا تو ان کے درمیان فیصلہ کر دیا [3]جاتا اور ظالموں کو یقیناً دردناک عذاب پہنچے گا۔
دیکھو سورۃ الشوریٰ آیت۱۵۔
یعنی ان پر تباہی آجاتی۔ مگر چونکہ خداتعالیٰ کا قطعی فیصلہ قرآن کریم میں موجود ہے کہ جب تک حجت تمام نہ ہو کسی قوم کو تباہ نہیں کیا جاتا۔ اس لئے ان کو ڈھیل مل رہی ہے۔

Have they such associates of Allah as have made lawful for them in religion that which Allah has not allowed? And but for Our word about the final judgment, the matter would have been decided by now between them. And, surely, the wrongdoers will have a grievous punishment.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی
کیا یہ لوگ کچھ ایسے شریک خدا رکھتے ہیں جنہوں نے اِن کے لیے دین کی نوعیت رکھنے والا ایک ایسا طریقہ مقرر کر دیا ہے جس کا اللہ نے اِذن نہیں دیا؟ اگر فیصلے کی بات پہلے طے نہ ہو گئی ہوتی تو ان کا قضیہ چکا دیا گیا ہوتا یقیناً اِن ظالموں کے لیے درد ناک عذاب ہے
English - Sahih
Or have they other deities who have ordained for them a religion to which Allah has not consented? But if not for the decisive word, it would have been concluded between them. And indeed, the wrongdoers will have a painful punishment.

کیا ان کے اور شریک ہیں جنہوں نے ان کے لیے دین کا وہ طریقہ نکالا ہے جس کی الله نے اجازت نہیں دی اور اگر فیصلہ کا وعدہ نہ ہوا ہوتا تو ان کا دنیا ہی میں فیصلہ ہو گیا ہو تا اور بے شک ظالموں کے لیے دردناک عذاب ہے

Or for them (are) partners who have ordained for them of the religion what not Allah has given permission of it And if not (for) a word decisive, surely, it (would have) been judged between them. And indeed, the wrongdoers, for them (is a) punishment painful.

دیکھو سورۃ الشوریٰ آیت۱۵۔

Or have they associates who have laid down for them as religion that for which God gave not leave? But for the Word of Decision, it had been decided between them. For the evildoers there awaits a painful chastisement.

Do they have any associates (of Allah) who have laid down for them a way pertaining to faith which Allah did not sanction? But for the fact that a decree had already been made, the matter between them would have been decided once and for all. Surely a grievous chastisement awaits the wrong-doers.

Have they other associates who have prescribed another law for them which has not been dispensed by God? But for the decisive Word (of God) a sentence would have been passed amongst them. Surely there is a grievous punishment for the ungodly.
