ذٰلِکُمۡ بِاَنَّکُمُ اتَّخَذۡتُمۡ اٰیٰتِ اللّٰہِ ہُزُوًا وَّغَرَّتۡکُمُ الۡحَیٰوۃُ الدُّنۡیَا ۚ فَالۡیَوۡمَ لَا یُخۡرَجُوۡنَ مِنۡہَا وَلَا ہُمۡ یُسۡتَعۡتَبُوۡنَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
‘This is so, because you made a jest of the Signs of Allah, and the life of the world deceived you.’ Therefore, that day they will not be taken out from thence, nor will they be taken back into favour.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
یہ اس لئے ہو گا کہ تم نے اللہ کے نشانات کو تمسخر بنالیا اور دنیا کی زندگی نے تمہیں دھوکہ میں ڈال دیا تھا۔ پس آج وہ اُس (آگ) سے نکالے نہیں جائیں گے اور نہ ہی ان کا کوئی عذر قبول کیا جائے گا۔
French
Ceci parce que vous avez tourné en dérision les Signes d’Allāh, et que la vie du monde vous a trompés. » C’est pourquoi, ce jour-là ils ne seront pas retirés de là, et il ne leur en sera même pas accordé l’accès au seuil.

Dies, weil ihr Allahs Zeichen zum Gespött machtet und das Leben in dieser Welt euch betrog." Drum sollen sie an jenem Tage nicht von dort herausgebracht werden, noch wird ihnen erlaubt sein, wiedergutzumachen.

“这是由于[d]你们把安拉的迹象当作嘲笑的对象, 今世的人生欺骗了你们。” 所以今天他们将不被放出火狱, 而他们的任何辩解也是不被接纳的。

Italian
Questo perché vi siete beffati dei segni di Allah, e la vita del mondo vi ha ingannati.» Perciò quel giorno non saranno tirati fuori da esso (dal fuoco), né saranno accettate le loro scuse.
Spanish
“Así es porque hicisteis objeto de escarnio los Signos de Al-lah, y la vida del mundo os engañó”. Por tanto, en ese día no se les sacará de ese lugar ni les será permitido acceder al umbral.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
یہ اس لئے ہوگا کہ تم نے اللہ کے نشانوں کو ہنسی کا موجب بنا لیا تھا اور دنیا کی زندگی نے تم کو دھوکا دے دیا تھا۔ پس آج نہ تو وہ اس عذاب سے نکالے جائیں گے اور نہ ان کی طرف سے خدا کو راضی کرنے کی کوشش قبول کی جائے گی۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
‘This is so, because [b]you made a jest of the Signs of Allah, and the life of the world deceived you.’ Therefore that day they will not be taken out of it, nor will they be taken back into favour.

‘This is so, because [d]you made a jest of the Signs of Allah, and the life of the world deceived you.’ Therefore, that day they will not be taken out of it, nor will they be taken back into favour.[3755]

Important Words:
یستعتبون (taken back into favour) is derived from عتب. استعتبته means, I sought to please him; I begged to be received into his favour. The expression ولاھم یستعتبون thus would mean, they shall not be taken back into the favour of God (Lane & Aqrab). See also 41:25.
اردو ترجمہ مودودی
یہ تمہارا انجام اس لیے ہوا ہے کہ تم نے اللہ کی آیات کا مذاق بنا لیا تھا اور تمہیں دنیا کی زندگی نے دھوکے میں ڈال دیا تھا لہٰذا آج نہ یہ لوگ دوزخ سے نکالے جائیں گے اور نہ ان سے کہا جائے گا کہ معافی مانگ کر اپنے رب کو راضی کرو"
English - Sahih
That is because you took the verses of Allah in ridicule, and worldly life deluded you." So that Day they will not be removed from it, nor will they be asked to appease [Allah].

یہ اس لیے کہ تم الله کی آیتوں کی ہنسی اڑایا کرتے تھے اور تمہیں دنیا کی زندگی نے دھوکے میں ڈال دیا تھا پس آج وہ اس سے نہ نکالے جائیں گے اور نہ ان سے توبہ طلب کی جائے گی
English - Talal Itani
That (is) because you took (the) Verses (of) Allah (in) ridicule and deceived you the life (of) the world." So this Day not they will be brought forth from it and not they will be asked to appease.

English - Arberry
That is for that you took God's signs in mockery, and the present life deluded you.' So today they shall not be brought forth from it, nor will they be suffered to make amends.
English - Maududi
You reached this end because you made Allah's Signs an object of jest and the life of the world deluded you.” So they shall not be taken out of the Fire nor shall they be asked to make amends (and thus please their Lord).

This because you laughed at God's revelations and were taken in by the life of the world." So they will neither be taken out of it, nor will be asked to seek God's favour on that day.
