54:3

وَاِنۡ یَّرَوۡا اٰیَۃً یُّعۡرِضُوۡا وَیَقُوۡلُوۡا سِحۡرٌ مُّسۡتَمِرٌّ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And if they see a Sign, they turn away and say, ‘A passing feat of magic.’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور اگر وہ کوئی نشان دیکھیں تو منہ پھیر لیتے ہیں اور کہتے ہیں ہمیشہ کی طرح کیا جانے والا جادو ہے۔

French

Et s’ils voient un Signe, ils s’en détournent et disent : « Une magie pratiquée de tout temps. »

German

Doch wenn sie ein Zeichen sehen, wenden sie sich ab und sagen: "Ein ewiges Zauberwerk."

Chinese

[a]他们假如看见一个迹象, 他们避开, 并说: “(这只是) 一个常演的魔术。”

21:3.

E se quelli vedono un segno, s'allontanano dicendo: «Un'opera di magia che passerà.»

Mas si ven un Signo, se alejan y dicen: “Una hazaña pasajera de magia”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور اگر وہ کوئی نشان دیکھیں گے تو ضرور اعراض کر جائیں گے اور کہہ دیں گے کہ یہ محض ایک دھوکا ہے جو ہمیشہ[2] سے چلا آتا ہے۔

مطلب یہ ہے کہ یہ فریب کی بات ہمیشہ ہی نبوت کے مدعی کہتے چلے آئے ہیں۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

[a]And if they see a Sign, they turn away and say, ‘An oft-repeated[2897] sorcery.’

21:3.

Mustamirr means, (1) passing, fleeting, transient; (2) continuous; (3) strong, firm (Aqrab).

English - Five Volume Translation

[a]And if they see a Sign, they turn away and say, ‘a continuous sorcery.’[4007]

21:2.

Important Words:

مستمر (continuous) is derived from استمر which means, he or it passed; went away; it (a thing) went on in one uniform course or manner; it continued in the same state; he or it became strong or firm like a rope tightly twisted. استمر بالشیء means, he became strong to bear the thing. مستمر means. (1) passing, fleeting, transient; (2) continuous: (3) strong, firm (Lane & Aqrab).

مگر اِن لوگوں کا حال یہ ہے کہ خواہ کوئی نشانی دیکھ لیں منہ موڑ جاتے ہیں اور کہتے ہیں یہ تو چلتا ہوا جادو ہے

English - Sahih

And if they see a miracle, they turn away and say, "Passing magic."

اور اگر وہ کوئی معجزہ دیکھ لیں تو اس سے منہ موڑ لیں اور کہیں یہ تو ہمیشہ سے چلا آتا جادو ہے

مطلب یہ ہے کہ یہ فریب کی بات ہمیشہ ہی نبوت کے مدعی کہتے چلے آئے ہیں۔
