57:15
يُنَادُونَهُمْ أَلَمْ نَكُن مَّعَكُمْ ۖ قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ وَلَٰكِنَّكُمْ فَتَنتُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ وَتَرَبَّصْتُمْ وَٱرْتَبْتُمْ وَغَرَّتْكُمُ ٱلْأَمَانِىُّ حَتَّىٰ جَآءَ أَمْرُ ٱللَّهِ وَغَرَّكُم بِٱللَّهِ ٱلْغَرُورُ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
They will call out to them, saying, ‘Were we not with you?’ They will answer, ‘Yea, but you led yourselves into temptation and you hesitated and doubted and your vain desires deceived you till the decree of Allah came to pass. And the Deceiver deceived you in respect of Allah.

وہ انہیں بلند آواز سے پکاریں گے کہ کیا ہم تمہارے ساتھ نہیں تھے؟ وہ کہیں گے ہاں کیوں نہیں لیکن تم نے خود اپنے آپ کو فتنے میں ڈال لیا اور انتظار کرتے رہے اور شک میں مبتلا ہوگئے اور تمہیں آرزوؤں نے فریب دیا یہاں تک کہ اللہ کا فیصلہ آگیا جبکہ تمہیں شیطان نے اللہ کے بارہ میں سخت دھوکے میں مبتلا رکھا۔
French
Ils leur crieront, « N’étions-nous pas avec vous ? » Ils répondront : « Si ! mais vous vous êtes laissés aller à la tentation et vous avez hésité et douté, et vos vains désirs vous ont trompés jusqu’à ce que vînt le décret d’Allāh. Et le Trompeur vous a trompés à l’égard d’Allāh.

Sie werden jenen (Gläubigen) zurufen: "Waren wir nicht mit euch?" Jene werden antworten: "Doch, aber ihr versuchtet euch selber und wartetet und zweifeltet, und die eitlen Wünsche betörten euch, bis Allahs Befehl kam. Und der Betrüger belog euch über Allah.

他们 (伪信者) 将大声叫信者: “我们原不是与你们同在?” 信者回答: “是的, 但你们让你们自己遭受了诱惑, 等候 (我们的毁灭), 不断怀疑, 你们的私欲欺骗了你们, 直到安拉的命令到来。欺骗者关于安拉 (的一切工作) 是常常欺骗你们的。
Italian
Grideranno dicendo: «Non eravamo forse con voi?» Risponderanno: «Sì, ma siete stati indotti in tentazione, ed avete esitato e dubitato, e i vostri vani desideri vi hanno ingannato, finché non venne il decreto di Allah. E l'ingannatore vi ha ingannato riguardo ad Allah.
Spanish
Ellos los invocarán, diciendo: “¿Acaso no estábamos con vosotros?”. Responderán: “Sí, pero os dejasteis llevar por la tentación, os demorasteis y dudasteis y vuestros vanos deseos os engañaron hasta que se cumplió el designio de Al-lah. Y el Engañador os confundió respecto a Al-lah.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
وہ (منافق) مومنوں سے پکار کر کہیں گے‘ کیا ہم تمہارے ساتھ نہ تھے؟ وہ (یعنی مومن) جواب دیں گے‘ ہاں ہاں۔ لیکن تم نے اپنی جانوں کو خود عذاب میں ڈالا۔ اور تم (ہماری تباہی کا) انتظار کرتے رہے اور شکوک و شبہات سے کام لیتے رہے اور تمہاری آرزوئیں تمہیں اس وقت تک دھوکہ دیتی رہیں کہ اللہ کا فیصلہ آگیا اوراللہ کے (تمام کاموں کے) متعلق شیطان تمہیں دھوکہ دیتا رہا۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
The hypocrites will call out to believers saying, ‘Were we not with you?’ The believers will answer, ‘Yea, but you let yourselves fall into temptation and you hesitated and doubted and your vain desires deceived you till the decree of Allah[2994] came to pass. And the deceiver deceived you concerning Allah.

They will call out to them, saying, ‘Were we not with you?’ They will answer, ‘Yea, but you led your selves into temptation and you hesitated[a] and doubted and your vain desires deceived you till the decree of Allah came to pass. And the Deceiver deceived you in respect of Allah.[4157]

Commentary:
أمر اللّٰه (decree of Allah) means the decree of Allah that Divine punishment will overtake the hypocrites. The reference may be to the punishment of the Jewish tribes of Medina for their repeated defection and treachery.
اردو ترجمہ مودودی
وہ مومنوں سے پکار پکار کر کہیں گے کیا ہم تمہارے ساتھ نہ تھے؟ مومن جواب دیں گے ہاں، مگر تم نے اپنے آپ کو خود فتنے میں ڈالا، موقع پرستی کی، شک میں پڑے رہے، اور جھوٹی توقعات تمہیں فریب دیتی رہیں، یہاں تک کہ اللہ کا فیصلہ آ گیا، اور آخر وقت تک وہ بڑا دھوکے باز تمہیں اللہ کے معاملہ میں دھوکا دیتا رہا
English - Sahih
The hypocrites will call to the believers, "Were we not with you?" They will say, "Yes, but you afflicted yourselves and awaited [misfortune for us] and doubted, and wishful thinking deluded you until there came the command of Allah. And the Deceiver deceived you concerning Allah.

وہ انہیں پکاریں گے کیا ہم تمہارے ساتھ نہ تھے وہ کہیں گے کیوں نہیں لیکن تم نے اپنے آپ کو فتنہ میں ڈالا اور راہ دیکھتے اور شک کرتے رہے اور تمہیں آرزوؤں نے دھوکہ دیا یہاں تک کہ الله کا حکم آ پہنچا اور تمہیں الله کے بارے میں شیطان نے دھوکہ دیا

They will call them, "Were not we with you?" They will say, "Yes, but you led to temptation yourselves and you awaited and you doubted and deceived you the wishful thinking until came (the) Command (of) Allah. And deceived you about Allah the deceiver.

They shall be calling unto them, 'Were we not with you?' They shall say, 'Yes indeed; but you tempted yourselves, and you awaited, and you were in doubt, and fancies deluded you, until God's commandment came, and the Deluder deluded you concerning God.

The hypocrites will call out to the believers: “Were we not with you?” The believers will reply: “Yes; but you allowed yourselves to succumb to temptations, and you wavered and you remained in doubt and false expectations deluded you until Allah's command came to pass, and the Deluder deluded you concerning Allah.

They will call to them: "Were we not with you?" They will answer: "Certainly; but then you let yourselves be tempted, and waited in expectation but were suspicious and were deceived by vain desires, till the decree of God came to pass, and the deceiver duped you in respect of God.

(Those without) will call out, "Were we not with you?" (The others) will reply, "True! but ye led yourselves into temptation; ye looked forward (to our ruin); ye doubted (Allah's Promise); and (your false) desires deceived you; until there issued the Command of Allah.
