66:3

قَدْ فَرَضَ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ تَحِلَّةَ أَيْمَٰنِكُمْ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ مَوْلَىٰكُمْ ۖ وَهُوَ ٱلْعَلِيمُ ٱلْحَكِيمُ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Allah has indeed allowed to you the dissolution of your oaths, and Allah is your Friend; and He is All-Knowing, Wise.

اللہ نے تم پر اپنی قسمیں کھولنا لازم کردیا ہے۔ اور اللہ تمہارا مولا ہے اور وہ صاحبِ علم (اور) صاحبِ حکمت ہے۔

French

En vérité, Allāh vous a ordonné de vous libérer de vos serments ayant trait à l’affaire susmentionnée, et Allāh est votre Gardien ; et Il est l’ Omniscient, le Sage.

German

Allah hat in der Tat euch die Lösung eurer Eide erlaubt, und Allah ist euer Beschützer; und Er ist der Allwissende, der Allweise.

Chinese

安拉吩咐你们解除 (会引起) 你们 (困难) 的誓言, 安拉是你们的朋友; 他是全知的, 最明哲的。

Italian

Allah, invero, vi ha imposto di infrangere quelli dei vostri voti che sarebbero occasione di difficoltà; e Allah è il vostro amico, ed Egli è Onnisciente, Sapiente.

Spanish

Al-lah ha sancionado la liberación de vuestros juramentos en relación con lo anteriormente citado, pues Al-lah es vuestro Tutor; y Él es Omnisciente, Sabio.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اللہ نے تم پر ایسی قسموں کے کھولنے کو واجب کیا ہے (جن سے فتنہ پیدا ہو) اور اللہ تمہارا آقا ہے اور وہ بہت جاننے والا (اور) حکمت والا ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

Allah has, indeed, enjoined on you the expiation of such of your oaths as would occasion trouble,[3072] and Allah is your Friend; and He is All-Knowing, Wise.

The Holy Prophet had severely taken to heart his wives’ demand for amenities of life, and in order to show his extreme displeasure had sworn to keep away from them for one month. The present verse describes that a lawful thing does not become unlawful for a person merely by his swearing not to use it. In such a contingency he is required only to expiate his broken oath.

English - Five Volume Translation

Allah has indeed allowed to you the dissolution of your oaths, and Allah is your Friend; and He is All-Knowing, Wise.[4279]

Commentary:

The Holy Prophet had severely taken to heart his wives’ demand for amenities of life, and in order to show his extreme displeasure had sworn to keep away from them for one month. The verse under comment prescribes that a lawful thing does not become unlawful to a person merely by his swearing not to use it. In such a contingency he is required only to expiate his broken oath.

اللہ نے تم لوگوں کے لیے اپنی قسموں کی پابندی سے نکلنے کا طریقہ مقرر کر دیا ہے اللہ تمہارا مولیٰ ہے، اور وہی علیم و حکیم ہے

English - Sahih

Allah has already ordained for you [Muslims] the dissolution of your oaths. And Allah is your protector, and He is the Knowing, the Wise.

الله نے تمہارے لیے اپنی قسموں کا توڑ دینا فرض کر دیا ہے اور الله ہی تمہارا مالک ہے اوروہی سب کا جاننے والا حکمت والا ہے

English - Talal Itani

Indeed, has ordained Allah for you (the) dissolution (of) your oaths. And Allah (is) your Protector and He (is) the All-Knower, the All-Wise.
