7:148

وَالَّذِیۡنَ کَذَّبُوۡا بِاٰیٰتِنَا وَلِقَآءِ الۡاٰخِرَۃِ حَبِطَتۡ اَعۡمٰلُہُمۡ ۚ ہَلۡ یُجۡزَوۡنَ اِلَّا مَا کَانُوۡا یَعۡمَلُوۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And those who disbelieve in Our Signs and the meeting of the Hereafter — their works are vain. Can they expect to be rewarded for anything except for what they do?

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور وہ لوگ جنہوں نے ہماری آیات اور آخرت کی ملاقات کو جھٹلا دیا ان کے اعمال ضائع ہو گئے۔ انہیں کوئی جزا نہیں دی جائے گی مگر وہی جو وہ کیا کرتے تھے۔

Et quant à ceux qui rejettent Nos Signes et la rencontre de l’au-delà, leurs œuvres sont vaines. Peuvent-ils espérer être récompensés autrement pour ce qu’ils faisaient ?

Die Unsere Zeichen und die Begegnung des Jenseits leugnen, ihre Werke sind eitel. Können sie belohnt werden außer für das, was sie tun?

[b]那些拒信我的迹象和后世会晤的人, 他们的行为是完全无效的。他们除了得到自己行为的报酬, 还能得到什么呢?

Y los que no creen en Nuestros Signos y en el encuentro del Más llá, sepan que sus obras son vanas. ¿Pueden acaso esperar ser recompensados por algo distinto a lo que hicieron?

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور وہ لوگ جنہوں نے ہماری آیتوں کی اور بعدالموت ملاقات کی تکذیب کی ہے ان کے سب اعمال ضائع ہو گئے ہیں۔ وہ صرف اپنے (مخلصانہ) عمل کا بدلہ پائیں گے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

And [a]those who reject Our Signs and the meeting of the Hereafter—their works are vain. Can they expect to be rewarded for anything except for what they do?

English - Five Volume Translation

And [b]those who disbelieve in Our Signs and the meeting of the Hereafter—their works are vain. Can they expect to be rewarded for anything except for what they do?[1037]

Commentary:

The verse serves as a great warning for all men. One should not live on pious hopes. Only good works count when rewards are meted out.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

ہماری نشانیوں کو جس کسی نے جھٹلایا اور آخرت کی پیشی کا انکار کیا اُس کے سارے اعمال ضائع ہو گئے کیا لوگ اِس کے سوا کچھ اور جزا پا سکتے ہیں کہ جیسا کریں ویسا بھریں؟"

English - Sahih

Those who denied Our signs and the meeting of the Hereafter - their deeds have become worthless. Are they recompensed except for what they used to do?

اور جنھوں نے ہماری آیتوں کو اور آخرت کی ملاقات کو جھٹلایا ان کے اعمال ضائع ہو گئے انہیں وہی سزا دی جائے گی جو کچھ وہ کیا کرتے تھے

And those who denied Our Signs and (the) meeting (of) the Hereafter - worthless (are) their deeds. Will they be recompensed except (for) what they used to do?

Those who cry lies to Our signs, and the encounter in the world to come -- their works have failed; shall they be recompensed, except according to the things they have done?

Vain are the deeds of those who reject Our signs as false and to the meeting of the Hereafter. Shall they be recompensed, except according to their deeds?'
