7:43

وَالَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَعَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَا نُکَلِّفُ نَفۡسًا اِلَّا وُسۡعَہَاۤ اُولٰٓئِکَ اَصۡحٰبُ الۡجَنَّۃِ ۖ ہُمۡ فِیۡہَا خٰلِدُوۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

But as to those who believe and do good works — and We task not any soul beyond its capacity — these are the inmates of Heaven; they shall abide therein.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور وہ لوگ جو ایمان لائے اور نیک اعمال بجا لائے ہم (اُن میں سے) کسی جان پر اس کی وسعت سے بڑھ کر بوجھ نہیں ڈالیں گے۔ یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جو جنت والے ہیں وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں۔

French

Mais ceux qui croient et qui font de bonnes œuvres – et Nous ne chargeons aucune âme au-delà de ses moyens – ceux-là seront les habitants du Paradis, et ils y demeureront éternellement.

German

Die aber, die glauben und gute Werke tun – Wir belasten keine Seele über ihr Vermögen –, sie sind die Bewohner des Himmels; darin sollen sie ewig weilen.

Chinese

但关于信仰而又行善的人, 要记住! [b]我不令其肩负超越其能力的担子。[492]他们将是天园的伴侣, 并将永居其中。

“我不令人负担超过其能力的担子” 这一插入句, 是与 “罪恶是人类天性固有的, 是人类能力无法去除的这一基督教教义相反的。”

Italian

Ma quanto a coloro che credono ed operano il bene - e Noi non diamo a nessun'anima un compito superiore alle sue possibilità - questi saranno gli abitanti del Paradiso; essi vi dimoreranno.

Spanish

En cuanto a los que creen y hacen buenas obras – y no imponemos a nadie tarea alguna que supere su capacidad – éstos son los habitantes del Cielo; en él morarán.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور جنہوں نے نیک عمل کئے ہیں (ان کو یاد رہے کہ) ہم کسی جان پر اس کی طاقت سے زیادہ ذمہ داری نہیں ڈالتے۔ وہ (لوگ) جنت (میں داخل ہونے) والے ہیں (اور) اس میں ہمیشہ رہتے چلے جائیں گے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

But as to those who believe and do good works—and [b]We charge not any soul beyond its capacity[975]—these are the inmates of Heaven; they shall abide therein.

The parenthetical clause, We charge not any soul beyond its capacity, contradicts the Christian dogma that sin being ingrained in human nature, it is beyond the power of man to get rid of it.

English - Five Volume Translation

But as to those who believe and do good works,—and [b]We task not any soul beyond its capacity—these are the inmates of Heaven; they shall abide therein.[942]

Commentary:

The parenthetical clause, We task not any soul beyond its capacity, contradicts the Christian dogma that sin being ingrained in human nature, it is beyond the power of man to get rid of it, and that this natural disability of man is remedied only by belief in the atonement of Jesus. The word 'task' shows that by 'good works' are meant such good works as are in the power of man to do.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

بخلاف اس کے جن لوگوں نے ہماری آیات کو مان لیا ہے اور اچھے کام کیے ہیں اور اس باب میں ہم ہر ایک کو اس کی استطاعت ہی کے مطابق ذمہ دار ٹھیراتے ہیں وہ اہل جنت ہیں جہاں وہ ہمیشہ رہیں گے

English - Sahih

But those who believed and did righteous deeds - We charge no soul except [within] its capacity. Those are the companions of Paradise; they will abide therein eternally.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

اور جو ایمان لانے اور نیکیاں کیں ہم کسی پر بوجھ نہیں رکھتے مگر اس کی طاقت کےموافق وہی بہشتی ہیں وہ اس میں ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہیں

English - Talal Itani

But those who believe and do [the] righteous deeds not We burden any soul except (to) its capacity. Those (are the) companions (of) Paradise, they in it (will) abide forever.

English - Arberry

And those who believe, and do deeds of righteousness -- We charge not any soul, save according to its capacity; those are the inhabitants of Paradise, therein dwelling forever;

English - Maududi

And those who believe and do good - We do not impose upon any of them a burden beyond his capacity. They are the people of Paradise. And there they shall abide.

English - Ahmed Ali

As for those who believe and do good, We never burden a soul beyond capacity. They are men of Paradise where they will abide for ever.

English - Yusuf Ali

But those who believe and work righteousness,- no burden do We place on any soul, but that which it can bear,- they will be Companions of the Garden, therein to dwell (for ever).
