72:26

قُلۡ اِنۡ اَدۡرِیۡۤ اَقَرِیۡبٌ مَّا تُوۡعَدُوۡنَ اَمۡ یَجۡعَلُ لَہٗ رَبِّیۡۤ اَمَدًا

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Say, ‘I know not whether that which you are promised is nigh or whether my Lord has fixed for it a distant term.’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

تُو کہہ دے میں نہیں جانتا کہ جس سے تم ڈرائے جاتے ہو وہ قریب ہے یا میرا ربّ اس کی مدّت کو لمبا کردے گا۔

French

Dis : « Je ne sais pas si ce qui vous est promis est proche, ou si mon Seigneur a fixé pour cela un terme éloigné. »

German

Sprich: "Ich weiß nicht, ob das, was euch angedroht ward, nahe ist, oder ob mein Herr eine lange Frist dafür angesetzt hat."

你说: [d]“我不知你们所受约的 (刑罚) 是接近的, 还是我的养主已为他固定了一个远的时期。”

Di': «Non so se ciò che vi è stato promesso è vicino, o se il mio Signore ha fissato per esso una scadenza lontana.»

Diles: “No sé si lo que se os ha prometido está cerca o si mi Señor ha fijado para ello un plazo lejano”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

تو کہہ دے کہ میں نہیں جانتا کہ تمہاری موعودہ گھڑی قریب ہے یا اللہ اس کے لئے کوئی لمبی مدت مقرر کرے گا۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

[c]Say, ‘I know not whether that which you are promised is nigh, or whether my Lord has fixed for it a distant term.’

21:110.

English - Five Volume Translation

[b]Say, ‘I know not whether that which you are promised is nigh or whether my Lord has fixed for it a distant term.’[4410]

21:110.

Commentary:

The Holy Prophet is enjoined to say to disbelievers that it is not for him to say when the threatened punishment will be, but come it must.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

کہو، "میں نہیں جانتا کہ جس چیز کا وعدہ تم سے کیا جا رہا ہے وہ قریب ہے یا میرا رب اس کے لیے کوئی لمبی مدت مقرر فرماتا ہے

English - Sahih

Say, "I do not know if what you are promised is near or if my Lord will grant for it a [long] period."

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

کہہ دو مجھے خبر نہیں جس کا تم سے وعدہ کیا گیا ہے وہ قریب ہے یا اس کے لیے میرا رب کوئی مدت ٹھیراتا ہے

Say, "Not I know whether is near what you are promised or (whether) will appoint for it my Lord a (distant) term.
