وَلَا تَمْنُن تَسْتَكْثِرُ

And bestow not favours seeking to get more in return,

اور زیادہ لینے کی خاطر احسان نہ کیا کر۔

Et n’accorde pas de faveurs en cherchant d’en avoir plus en retour ;

Und erweise nicht Huld, indem du Mehrung suchst.

不要为了多得报酬而施予恩惠,

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور اس نیت سے احسان نہ کر کہ اس کے بدلہ میں تجھے زیادہ ملے گا۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

And bestow not favours seeking to get more in return,

And bestow not favours seeking to get more in return,[4435]

Commentary:

God’s Prophets serve, and suffer for, their peoples out of no motive other than sincere concern and solicitude for their moral and spiritual well-being. "I ask of you no reward for it. My reward is only with the Lord of the worlds." (26:110), has always been the motto which has prompted and guided their noble efforts to redeem their peoples from the bondage of sin.

اور احسان نہ کرو زیادہ حاصل کرنے کے لیے
