وَمَا تَشَآءُونَ إِلَّآ أَن يَشَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَلِيمًا حَكِيمًا

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And you exercise your will because Allah has so willed. Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, Wise.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور تم کچھ بھی نہیں چاہ سکتے (کہ ہو جائے) سوائے اس کے کہ (وہی) اللہ چاہے۔ یقیناً اللہ دائمی علم رکھنے والا (اور) صاحبِ حکمت ہے۔

French

Et vous ne pouvez user de votre volonté que si Allāh le veut. En vérité, Allāh est Omniscient, Sage.

German

Und ihr wollt, weil Allah will. Wahrlich, Allah ist allwissend, allweise.

[f]但除非安拉 (这样地) 愿望, 你们绝不能 (这样地) 愿望。安拉确是全知的, 明哲的。

Y no podéis realizar vuestros deseos salvo que Al-lah así lo quiera. En verdad, Al-lah es Omnisciente, Sabio.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور تم خدا کی مشیت کے بغیر ایسا نہیں چاہ سکتے کیونکہ اللہ بہت علم والا (اور) بڑی حکمت والا [1]ہے۔

اور یہ ممکن نہیں کہ اس کا علم ایک شخص کو مستحق ہدایت قرار دے لیکن وہ اس کو گمراہ ہونے دے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

[d]But you cannot so wish unless Allah so wills. Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, Wise.

18:25; 74:57; 81:30.

English - Five Volume Translation

[c]But you will not unless Allah so wills. Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, Wise.[4497]

18:25; 74:57; 81:30.

Commentary:

Besides the meaning given in the text, the verse may also mean: (1) It is God’s Will that you should exercise your will "to take a way unto your Lord," and so be admitted into His mercy. (2) You cannot "take the way unto your Lord" unless you subordinate and conform your will to the will of God. (3) You should have subordinated your will to the will of God, but you seem not to have done so.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اور تمہارے چاہنے سے کچھ نہیں ہوتا جب تک اللہ نہ چاہے یقیناً اللہ بڑا علیم و حکیم ہے

English - Sahih

And you do not will except that Allah wills. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

اور تم جب ہی چاہو گے جب الله چاہے گا بے شک الله سب کچھ جاننے والا حکمت والا ہے

English - Talal Itani

And not you will except that wills Allah. Indeed, Allah is All-Knower, All-Wise.
