إِنَّا هَدَيْنَٰهُ ٱلسَّبِيلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرًا وَإِمَّا كَفُورًا

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

We have shown him the Way, whether he be grateful or ungrateful.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

یقیناً ہم نے اُسے سیدھے رستے کی طرف ہدایت دی۔ خواہ (وہ) شکرگزار بنتے ہوئے (چلے) خواہ ناشکرا ہوتے ہوئے۔

French

Nous lui avons montré la Voie, qu’il soit reconnaissant ou ingrat.

German

Wir haben ihm den Weg gezeigt, ob er nun dankbar oder undankbar sei.

Chinese

[d]我 (按照他的情况) 指示了他道路, 不论他感恩或忘德。

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

ہم نے اسے اس کے مطابق حال رستہ بتادیا یعنی خواہ وہ شکر کرے یا نافرمان ہو جائے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

[d]We have shown him the way, whether he be grateful or ungrateful.

90:11.

English - Five Volume Translation

We have shown him the way,[a] whether he be grateful or ungrateful.[4481]

90:11.

Commentary:

God has given man reason and understanding. He has made him responsible for his actions, and through His Messengers and Prophets has shown him the way that leads to God-realization. But it is for man to make right use of God-given faculties and opportunities (this being the meaning of شکر), and by submitting to Divine laws to achieve the object of his creation or by flouting them to bring about his spiritual death.

ہم نے اسے راستہ دکھا دیا، خواہ شکر کرنے والا بنے یا کفر کرنے والا

Indeed, We guided him to the way, be he grateful or be he ungrateful.

بے شک ہم نے اسے راستہ دکھا دیا یا تو وہ شکر گزار ہے اور یا ناشکرا
