وَلَا تَکُوۡنُوۡا کَالَّذِیۡنَ قَالُوۡا سَمِعۡنَا وَہُمۡ لَا یَسۡمَعُوۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And be not like those who say, ‘We hear,’ but they hear not.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور ان لوگوں کی طرح نہ ہو جنہوں نے کہا تھا ہم نے سن لیا جبکہ درحقیقت وہ سن نہیں رہے تھے۔

French

Et ne soyez pas comme ceux qui disent « Nous entendons » mais ils n’entendent pas.

German

Und seid nicht wie jene, die sprechen: "Wir hören", und doch hören sie nicht.

[b]你们不要成为他们那样听而不闻的人。

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور ان لوگوں کی طرح مت بنو جنہوں نے یہ کہا تھا کہ ہم سنتے ہیں‘ مگر وہ سنتے نہیں۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

And be not like those [a]who say, ‘We hear,’ but they hear not.

Commentary:

True Muslims are here warned against following the example of hypocrites, who say they listen but they listen not.

اُن لوگوں کی طرح نہ ہو جاؤ جنہوں نے کہا کہ ہم نے سُنا حالانکہ وہ نہیں سُنتے

And do not be like those who say, "We have heard," while they do not hear.
