9:20

اَلَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَہَاجَرُوۡا وَجٰہَدُوۡا فِیۡ سَبِیۡلِ اللّٰہِ بِاَمۡوٰلِہِمۡ وَاَنۡفُسِہِمۡ اَعۡظَمُ دَرَجَۃً عِنۡدَ اللّٰہِ ۚ وَاُولٰٓئِکَ ہُمُ الۡفَآئِزُوۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Those who believe and emigrate from their homes for the sake of God and strive in the cause of Allah with their property and their persons have the highest rank in the sight of Allah. And it is they who shall triumph.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور انہوں نے ہجرت کی اور اللہ کی راہ میں اپنے اموال اور اپنی جانوں کے ساتھ جہاد کیا وہ اللہ کے نزدیک درجے کے اعتبار سے بہت بڑے ہیں اور یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جو کامیاب ہونے والے ہیں۔

French

Ceux qui croient et abandonnent leur demeure, et qui luttent pour la cause d’Allāh par leurs biens et leurs personnes, ont, aux yeux d’Allāh, le rang le plus élevé. Et ceux-là qui triompheront.

German

Die, welche glauben und auswandern und mit ihrem Gut und ihrem Blut kämpfen für Allahs Sache, die nehmen den höchsten Rang ein bei Allah, und sie sind es, die Erfolg haben.

Chinese

[a]那些信仰、迁移并在安拉的道上以自己的财产和生命奋斗的人, 在安拉看来, 他们具有最高的等级。只有这些人才是成功者。

Italian

Coloro che credono e abbandonano le loro case per amore di Dio, e lottano per la causa di Allah con i loro beni e la loro persona, hanno il rango più alto agli occhi di Allah. E sono questi coloro che trionferanno.

Spanish

Quienes creen y emigran de sus casas por la causa de Dios y se esfuerzan en la causa de Al-lah con sus bienes y sus personas son los que ocupan el puesto más alto ante Al-lah. Son ellos quienes triunfarán.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

(وہ لوگ) جو (کہ) ایمان لائے اور جنہوں نے ہجرت کی اور (پھر) اللہ کے راستہ میں اپنے مالوں (کے ذریعہ سے بھی) اور جانوں کے ذریعہ سے (بھی) جہاد کیا۔ اللہ کے نزدیک درجہ میں بہت بلند ہیں اور وہی لوگ کامیاب ہونے والے ہیں۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

[a]Those who believed and left their homes for the sake of God and strove in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives have the highest rank in the sight of Allah. And it is they who shall triumph.

4:96; 57:11.

English - Five Volume Translation

[a]Those who believe and migrate from their homes for the sake of God and strive in the cause of Allah with their property and their persons have the highest rank in the sight of Allah. And it is they who shall triumph.[1183]

Commentary:

In the previous verse it was pointed out that disbelievers could not be equal to believers, even if the former outwardly served the Ka‘bah and aided pilgrims. In this verse it is added that believers are not all alike, some of them possessing a higher spiritual rank than others.

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

اللہ کے ہاں تو انہی لوگوں کا درجہ بڑا ہے جو ایمان لائے اور جنہوں نے اس کی راہ میں گھر بار چھوڑے اور جان و مال سے جہاد کیا وہی کامیاب ہیں

English - Sahih

The ones who have believed, emigrated and striven in the cause of Allah with their wealth and their lives are greater in rank in the sight of Allah. And it is those who are the attainers [of success].

جو لوگ ایمان لائے اور گھر چھوڑے اور الله کی راہ میں اپنے مالوں اور جانوں سے لڑے الله کے ہاں ان کے لیے بڑا درجہ ہے اور وہی لوگ مراد پانے والے ہیں

English - Talal Itani

Those who believed and emigrated and strove in (the) way (of) Allah with their wealth and their lives (are) greater (in) rank near Allah. And those - they (are) the successful.

English - Arberry

Those who believe, and have emigrated, and have struggled in the way of God with their possessions and their selves are mightier in rank with God; and those -- they are the triumphant;

English - Maududi

The higher rank with Allah is for those who believed and migrated and strove in His cause with their belongings and their persons. It is they who are triumphant.

English - Ahmed Ali

Those who accepted the faith and left their homes and fought in the way of God, wealth and soul, have a greater reward with God, and will be successful.

English - Yusuf Ali

Those who believe, and suffer exile and strive with might and main, in Allah's cause, with their goods and their persons, have the highest rank in the sight of Allah: they are the people who will achieve (salvation).
