9:39

اِلَّا تَنۡفِرُوۡا یُعَذِّبۡکُمۡ عَذَابًا اَلِیۡمًا وَّیَسۡتَبۡدِلۡ قَوۡمًا غَیۡرَکُمۡ وَلَا تَضُرُّوۡہُ شَیۡـًٔا ۗ وَاللّٰہُ عَلٰی کُلِّ شَیۡءٍ قَدِیۡرٌ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

If you do not go forth to fight, He will punish you with a painful punishment, and will choose in your stead a people other than you, and you shall do Him no harm at all. And Allah has full power over all things.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اگر تم (جہاد کے لئے) نہ نکلو گے تو وہ تمہیں ایک دردناک عذاب دے گا اور تمہاری بجائے ایک اور قوم تبدیل کر لائے گا اور تم اُسے (یعنی اللہ کو) کچھ بھی نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکو گے۔ اور اللہ ہر چیز پر جسے وہ چاہے دائمی قدرت رکھتا ہے۔

French

Si vous ne partez pas au combat pour la cause d’Allāh, Il vous infligera un châtiment douloureux, et amènera à votre place un autre peuple que vous, et vous ne Lui nuirez en aucune façon ; Et Allāh a le pouvoir de faire tout ce qu’Il veut.

German

Wenn ihr nicht auszieht, wird Er euch strafen mit schmerzlicher Strafe und wird an eurer Stelle ein anderes Volk erwählen, und ihr werdet Ihm gewiss keinen Schaden tun. Und Allah hat Macht über alle Dinge.

Chinese

如果你们 (为了安拉的道路) 不 (共同) 出征, 他 (安拉) 将给你们痛苦的惩罚, 他将选择另一民族代替你们, 你们将不能给他任何损害。安拉对其 (立意要做的) 每一事物都是全能的。

Italian

Se non proseguite nella lotta, Egli vi punirà con un doloroso castigo e sceglierà in vece di voi un altro popolo, e voi non Gli farete alcun danno. E Allah, su tutte le cose che Egli vuole, è potente.

Spanish

Si no partís al combate, Él os castigará con un castigo doloroso, y elegirá en vuestro lugar a un pueblo distinto a vosotros, y no podréis perjudicarle en absoluto. Pues Al-lah tiene pleno poder sobre todas las cosas.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اگر تم (سب مل کر اللہ کے راستہ میں) لڑنے کے لئے نہیں نکلو گے تو وہ تم کو دردناک عذاب دے گا اور تمہارے سوا ایک اور قوم کو بدل کر لے آئے گا اور تم اسے (یعنی اللہ کو) کوئی نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکو گے اور اللہ ہر چیز پر (جس کے کرنے کا وہ ارادہ کرے) قادر ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

If you will not go forth to fight, in the cause of Allah, He will punish you with a painful punishment, and will choose in your stead a people other than you, and you shall do Him no harm at all. And Allah has full power over all things.

English - Five Volume Translation

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

تم نہ اٹھو گے تو خدا تمہیں دردناک سزا دے گا، اور تمہاری جگہ کسی اور گروہ کو اٹھائے گا، اور تم خدا کا کچھ بھی نہ بگاڑ سکو گے، وہ ہر چیز پر قدرت رکھتا ہے

English - Sahih

If you do not go forth, He will punish you with a painful punishment and will replace you with another people, and you will not harm Him at all. And Allah is over all things competent.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

اگر تم نہ نکلو گے تو الله تمہیں دردناک عذاب میں مبتلا کر ے گا اور تمہاری جگہ اور لوگ پیدا کر ے گا اور تم اسے کوئی نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکو گے اور الله ہر چیز پر قادر ہے

English - Talal Itani

If not you go forth, He will punish you (with) a painful punishment, and will replace you (with) a people other than you, and not you can harm Him (in) anything. And Allah (is) on every thing All-Powerful.

اردہ تفصیرِ صغیر نوٹس ^*

English - Arberry

If you go not forth, He will chastise you with a painful chastisement, and instead of you He will substitute another people; and you will not hurt Him anything, for God is powerful over everything.

English - Maududi

If you do not march forth, Allah will chastise you grievously and will replace you by another people, while you will in no way be able to harm Him. Allah has power over everything.

English - Ahmed Ali

Unless you go out (to strive), God will inflict grievous punishment on you, and bring other people in your place, and you will not be able to harm Him in the least, for God has the power over all things.

English - Yusuf Ali

Unless ye go forth, He will punish you with a grievous penalty, and put others in your place; but Him ye would not harm in the least. For Allah hath power over all things.
