63:10
يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تُلْهِكُمْ أَمْوَٰلُكُمْ وَلَآ أَوْلَٰدُكُمْ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَمَن يَفْعَلْ ذَٰلِكَ فَأُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْخَٰسِرُونَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
O ye who believe! let not your wealth and your children divert you from the remembrance of Allah. And whoever does so — it is they who are the losers.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اے لوگو جو ایمان لائے ہو! تمہیں تمہارے اموال اور تمہاری اولاد اللہ کے ذکر سے غافل نہ کردیں اور جو ایسا کریں تو یہی ہیں جو گھاٹا کھانے والے ہیں۔
French
Ô vous qui croyez ! que vos biens et vos enfants ne vous distraient pas du souvenir d’Allāh. Et quiconque agit ainsi – ce sont eux qui sont les perdants.
German
O die ihr glaubt, lasset euer Vermögen und eure Kinder euch nicht vom Gedenken an Allah abhalten. Und wer das tut – das sind die Verlierenden.

[c]信仰的人啊! 不要让你们的财产和子女使你们疏忽于记念安拉。凡是这样做的人, 他们就是亏损者。

O voi che credete! Non permettete che i vostri beni e i vostri figli vi distolgano dal ricordo di Allah. E quanti lo fanno, sono loro i perdenti.

¡Oh vosotros, los creyentes! No permitáis que vuestras riquezas y vuestros hijos os distraigan del recuerdo de Al-lah. Pues quienes así actúen, sepan que serán los perdedores.

اے مومنو! تم کو تمہارے مال اور تمہاری اولادیں اللہ کے ذکر سے غافل نہ کر دیں اور جو لوگ ایسا کریں گے‘ وہی گھاٹا پانے والے ہوں گے۔

[a]O ye who believe! let not your wealth and your children divert you from the remembrance of Allah. And whoever does so—it is they who are the losers.

Commentary:
The believers have been informed in this and the next verse that God demands from them the sacrifice of their wealth and offsprings in the cause of Truth, since it is sacrifice that distinguishes true believers from the hypocrites.

اے لوگو جو ایمان لائے ہو، تمہارے مال اور تمہاری اولادیں تم کو اللہ کی یاد سے غافل نہ کر دیں جو لوگ ایسا کریں وہی خسارے میں رہنے والے ہیں

اور خرچ کرو اس میں سے جو ہم نے تمہیں دیا ہے پیشتر اس کے کہ تم میں سے کسی کو موت آ جائے تو وہ کہے اے میرے ربّ! کاش تو نے مجھے تھوڑی سی مدّت تک مہلت دی ہوتی تو میں ضرور صدقات دیتا اور نیکوکاروں میں سے ہو جاتا۔

Et dépensez de ces dons et richesses que Nous vous avons accordés, avant que la mort ne surprenne l’un d’entre vous, et qu’il ne dise : « Mon Seigneur ! si seulement tu voulais m’accorder du répit pendant quelque temps, pour que je puisse faire l’aumône, et puisse être du nombre des justes ! »

Und spendet von dem, was Wir euch gegeben haben, bevor einen von euch der Tod ereilt und er spricht: "Mein Herr! wenn Du mir nur Aufschub gewähren wolltest auf eine kleine Weile, dann würde ich Almosen geben und der Rechtschaffenen einer sein."

اور (اے مومنو)! جو کچھ ہم نے تمہیں دیا ہے اس میں سے موت آنے سے پہلے خرچ کرو‘ تا ایسا نہ ہو کہ (جب موت آئے تو خرچ نہ کرنے والے کو) کہنا پڑے کہ اے میرے رب! تو نے مجھے کیوں تھوڑی سی ڈھیل نہیں دی تا کہ میں اس (ڈھیل) میں کچھ صدقہ کر لیتا اور نیک بن جاتا۔

Commentary:
The verse exhorts believers to make the best of their opportunities to serve the cause of truth with all the gifts that God had bestowed upon them, before death comes upon them i.e. before they lose the opportunity or the power to serve.
اردو ترجمہ مودودی
جو رزق ہم نے تمہیں دیا ہے اس میں سے خرچ کرو قبل اس کے کہ تم میں سے کسی کی موت کا وقت آ جائے اور اُس وقت وہ کہے کہ "اے میرے رب، کیوں نہ تو نے مجھے تھوڑی سی مہلت اور دے دی کہ میں صدقہ دیتا اور صالح لوگوں میں شامل ہو جاتا"

And spend [in the way of Allah] from what We have provided you before death approaches one of you and he says, "My Lord, if only You would delay me for a brief term so I would give charity and be among the righteous."

اوراس میں سے خرچ کرو جو ہم نے تمہیں روزی دی ہے اس سے پہلے کہ کسی کو تم میں سے موت آجائے تو کہے اے میرے رب تو نے مجھے تھوڑی مدت کے لیے ڈھیل کیوں نہ دی کہ میں خیرات کرتا اور نیک لوگو ں میں ہو جاتا

And Allah will not grant respite to a soul when its appointed time has come; and Allah is Well-Aware of what you do.

اور اللہ کسی جان کو، جب اس کی مقررہ مدت آپہنچی ہو، ہرگز مہلت نہیں دے گا۔ اور اللہ اُس سے جو تم کرتے ہو ہمیشہ باخبر رہتا ہے۔

Et Allāh n’accordera jamais de répit à une âme lorsque son terme déterminé est arrivé ; et Allāh est Très-Conscient de ce que vous faites.

Nie aber wird Allah einer Seele Aufschub gewähren, wenn ihre Frist um ist; und Allah kennt wohl, was ihr tut.

[a]And Allah will not grant respite to a soul when its appointed time has come; and Allah is Well-Aware of what you do.[4253]
71:5.
Commentary:
The word أجل signifies a Divine decree, and the verse means that a people should make the best of their opportunities before the Divine decree comes into force; that is, because they will have outlived their usefulness, they would deserve to live no more.

حالانکہ جب کسی کی مہلت عمل پوری ہونے کا وقت آ جاتا ہے تو اللہ اُس کو ہرگز مزید مہلت نہیں دیتا، اور جو کچھ تم کرتے ہو، اللہ اس سے باخبر ہے

But never will Allah delay a soul when its time has come. And Allah is Acquainted with what you do.
