کَذٰلِکَ وَقَدۡ اَحَطۡنَا بِمَا لَدَیۡہِ خُبۡرًا
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Thus indeed it was. Verily, We encompassed with Our knowledge all that was with him.

(یہ واقعہ ٹھیک) اسی طرح ہے اور ہم نے اس کے تمام حالات کا خوب پتا رکھا ہوا ہے۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
Thus indeed it was. Verily, We had full knowledge of all that he had with him.
English - Five Volume Translation
Thus indeed it was. Verily, We encompassed with Our knowledge all that was with him.[2128]
Commentary:
The words, We encompassed with Our knowledge all that was with him, mean that Cyrus in his expeditions was under Divine protection. These words agree with the Biblical statement viz. "I will go before thee and make the crooked places straight" (Isaiah 45:2).
