قُلْ أَرَءَيْتُمْ شُرَكَآءَكُمُ ٱلَّذِينَ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَرُونِى مَاذَا خَلَقُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ أَمْ لَهُمْ شِرْكٌ فِى ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ أَمْ ءَاتَيْنَٰهُمْ كِتَٰبًا فَهُمْ عَلَىٰ بَيِّنَتٍ مِّنْهُ ۚ بَلْ إِن يَعِدُ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ بَعْضُهُم بَعْضًا إِلَّا غُرُورًا
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Say, ‘Have you seen your associate- gods whom you call on beside Allah? Show me then what they have created of the earth. Or have they a share in the creation of the heavens? Or have We given them a Book so that they have an evidence therefrom?’ Nay, the wrongdoers promise one another nothing but deception.

تو پوچھ کیا تم نے اپنے وہ (مزعومہ) شریک دیکھے ہیں جنہیں تم اللہ کے سوا پکارتے ہو؟ مجھے دکھاؤ تو سہی کہ انہوں نے زمین میں سے کیا پیدا کیا ہے یا ان کے لئے (محض) آسمانوں میں شراکت ہے۔ یا کیا ہم نے انہیں کوئی کتاب دی تھی پس وہ اس کی بنا پر ایک روشن دلیل پر قائم ہیں؟ نہیں، بلکہ ظالموں میں سے اُن کے بعض، بعض دوسروں سے محض دھوکہ کا وعدہ کرتے ہیں۔

Dis : « Avez-vous vu vos dieux-associés que vous invoquez en dehors d’Allāh ? Montrez-moi alors ce qu’ils ont créé de la terre. Ou ont-ils une part dans la création des cieux ? » Ou leur avons-Nous donné un Livre de sorte qu’ils y ont trouvé une preuve claire ? Non, mais les injustes ne se promettent les uns aux autres que des tromperies.
German
Sprich: "Habt ihr eure Götter gesehen, die ihr statt Allah anruft? Zeigt mir, was sie von der Erde erschufen. Oder haben sie einen Anteil (an der Schöpfung) der Himmel?" Oder haben Wir ihnen ein Buch gegeben, dass sie einen Beweis daraus hätten? Nein, die Frevler verheißen einander nur Trug.

你说: [b]“你们告诉我: 你们除安拉以外, 所呼求的 (你们假定的) 与安拉同等的崇拜对象? (如果他们是目不可见的, 那么) 给我看看他们在地面上创造了的创造物。或者他们参与了 (创造) 诸天 (的部分工作)? 或者我赐给了他们经典, 他们持有那经典所说明的证据?” (你说: 绝对不是这样的,) 事实上不义的人做了互相欺骗的诺言。

Di': «Avete forse visto gli dei che associate a Lui e che voi invocate all'infuori di Allah? Mostratemi, dunque, quello che hanno creato sulla terra. Oppure, hanno forse una parte nella creazione dei cieli? Oppure, abbiamo forse Noi dato ad essi un libro, da cui trarre delle prove?» No, i malvagi non si promettono a vicenda niente altro che inganni.

Diles: “¿Habéis visto a vuestros dioses partícipes a quienes invocáis en lugar de Al‑lah? Mostradme pues lo que han creado de la tierra. ¿Tienen acaso una participación en la creación de los cielos? O ¿les hemos dado un Libro para que tengan una prueba de ello?”. No, los inicuos no se prometen mutuamente más que el engaño.

تو کہہ دے مجھے بتاؤ تو سہی اپنے (مزعومہ) شریک جن کو تم اللہ کے سوا پکارتے ہو (اور اگر وہ نظر نہیں آتے تو) مجھے ان کی وہ مخلوق دکھاؤ جو انہوں نے زمین میں پیدا کی ہے‘ یا کیا ان کی آسمانوں کے بنانے میں کوئی شراکت ہے؟ کیا ہم نے ان کو کوئی کتاب دی ہے؟ کہ وہ اس کی بیان کردہ دلیل اپنے ساتھ رکھتے ہیں (کہو ایسا ہرگز نہیں)بلکہ ظالم آپس میں ایک دوسرے سے صرف دھوکہ دینے والے وعدے کرتے ہیں۔

Or, have We given them a Book so that they have an evidence therefrom?’ Nay, the wrongdoers promise one another nothing but delusion.

Say, [a]‘Have you seen your associate-gods whom you call on beside Allah? Show me then what they have created of the earth. Or have they a share in the creation of the heavens? Or have We given them a Book so that they have an evidence therefrom?’ Nay, the wrongdoers promise one another nothing but delusion.[3207]
34:28; 46:5.
Commentary:
As the Arabs, who were the first addressees of the Message of the Quran, were steeped in worst form of idolatry, God has exposed the futility of their polytheistic beliefs again and again in the Quran. In the present verse the idolaters are asked, why do they worship other gods beside Allah when these false gods have neither created any earthly thing nor have they made any contribution to the creation of the celestial bodies? They are further asked whether they have a revealed Book which gives them the authority to preach and promulgate their false beliefs. They should at least possess some reason or authority for their idolatrous beliefs and practices.

(اے نبیؐ) ان سے کہو، "کبھی تم نے دیکھا بھی ہے اپنے اُن شریکوں کو جنہیں تم خدا کو چھوڑ کر پکارا کرتے ہو؟ مجھے بتاؤ، انہوں نے زمین میں کیا پیدا کیا ہے؟ یا آسمانوں میں ان کی کیا شرکت ہے "؟ (اگر یہ نہیں بتا سکتے تو ان سے پوچھو) کیا ہم نے انہیں کوئی تحریر لکھ کر دی ہے جس کی بنا پر یہ (اپنے اس شرک کے لیے) کوئی صاف سند رکھتے ہوں؟ نہیں، بلکہ یہ ظالم ایک دوسرے کو محض فریب کے جھانسے دیے جا رہے ہیں

Say, "Have you considered your 'partners' whom you invoke besides Allah? Show me what they have created from the earth, or have they partnership [with Him] in the heavens? Or have We given them a book so they are [standing] on evidence therefrom? [No], rather, the wrongdoers do not promise each other except delusion."

کہہ دو کیا تم نے اپنے ان معبودو ں کو بھی دیکھا جنہیں تم الله کےسوا پکارتے ہو وہ مجھے دکھاؤ کہ انہوں نے زمین میں کیاپیداکیا ہے یا ان کا کچھ حصہ آسمانوں میں بھی ہے یا انہیں ہم نے کوئی کتاب دی ہے کہ وہ اس کی سند رکھتے ہیں (نہیں) بلکہ ظالم آپس میں ایک دوسرے کو دھوکہ دیتے ہیں

Say, "Have you seen your partners those whom you call besides Allah?" Show Me what they have created from the earth, or for them (is) a share in the heavens. Or have We given them a Book so they (are) on a clear proof therefrom? Nay, not promise the wrongdoers some of them (to) others except delusion.

Or have We given them a Book, so that they are upon a clear sign from it? Nay, but the evildoers promise one another naught but delusion.

Say to them (O Prophet): “Have you ever seen those of your associates upon whom you call apart from Allah? Show me what have they created in the earth? Or do they have any partnership (with Allah) in the heavens? Or have We given them a Book so that they have a clear proof (for associating others with Allah in His Divinity)?” Nay, what these wrong-doers promise each other is nothing but delusion.

Commentary:
