يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَا تَرْفَعُوٓا۟ أَصْوَٰتَكُمْ فَوْقَ صَوْتِ ٱلنَّبِىِّ وَلَا تَجْهَرُوا۟ لَهُۥ بِٱلْقَوْلِ كَجَهْرِ بَعْضِكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ أَن تَحْبَطَ أَعْمَٰلُكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَشْعُرُونَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

O ye who believe! raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet, and speak not aloud to him, as you speak aloud to one another, lest your works become vain while you perceive not.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اے لوگو جو ایمان لائے ہو! نبی کی آواز سے اپنی آوازیں بلند نہ کیا کرو اور جس طرح تم میں سے بعض لوگ بعض دوسرے لوگوں سے اونچی آواز میں باتیں کرتے ہیں اس کے سامنے اونچی بات نہ کیا کرو ایسا نہ ہو کہ تمہارے اعمال ضائع ہوجائیں اور تمہیں پتہ تک نہ چلے۔

French

Ô vous qui croyez ! N’élevez pas votre voix au-dessus de la voix du Prophète, et ne lui parlez pas à haute voix, comme vous vous parlez entre vous-mêmes, afin que vos bonnes œuvres ne deviennent vaines, sans que vous ne vous en aperceviez.

German

O die ihr glaubt, erhebt nicht eure Stimmen über die Stimme des Propheten und sprecht nicht so laut zu ihm, wie ihr laut zueinander redet, auf dass eure Werke nicht eitel werden, ohne dass ihr es merkt.

Chinese

信仰的人啊! 不要使你们的声音高过先知的声音,[1274]也不要像你们中间彼此高声说话那样对先知高声说话, 以免你们在不知不觉中使你们的 (善) 行落空。

这里着重强调对穆圣要极为尊敬。穆斯林不得在他面前高声谈话, 或对他大声说话, 这不仅不礼貌, 而且被认为对穆斯林的德性有害处, 这种粗暴的做法显示不出对导师所应有的尊敬。

O voi che credete, non alzate la voce al di sopra di quella del profeta, né parlategli ad alta voce, come fate quando parlate tra di voi, se non volete che le vostre opere siano rese vane, senza che ve ne rendiate conto.

¡Oh vosotros, creyentes! No levantéis vuestras voces por encima de la voz del Profeta, ni os dirijáis a él en voz alta como os dirigís mutuamente, no sea que vuestras buenas obras se pierdan sin que os deis cuenta.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اے مومنو! نبی کی آواز سے اپنی آواز اونچی نہ کیا کرو۔ اور نہ بلند آواز سے اس کے سامنے اس طرح بولا کرو جس طرح تم آپس میں ایک دوسرے کے سامنے اونچا بولتے ہو۔ ایسا نہ ہو کہ تمہارے اعمال ضائع ہو جائیں۔ اور تم جانتے بھی نہ ہو۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

O ye who believe! raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet,[2788] nor speak loudly to him as you speak loudly to one another, lest your works come to naught while you perceive not.

The verse lays great stress on observing an attitude of utmost respectfulness towards the Holy Prophet. The Muslims should not talk loudly in his presence or address him aloud which not only constitutes bad manners, but is calculated to do moral injury to one so rude as not to show due respect to the Leader.

English - Five Volume Translation

O ye who believe! raise not your voices above the voice of the Prophet, nor speak aloud to him, as you speak aloud to one another, lest your works become vain while you perceive not.[3842]

Commentary:

English - Sahih

O you who have believed, do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet or be loud to him in speech like the loudness of some of you to others, lest your deeds become worthless while you perceive not.

اردو ترجمہ احمد علی

اے ایمان والو اپنی آوازیں نبی کی آواز سے بلند نہ کیا کرو اور نہ بلندآواز سے رسول سے بات کیا کرو جیسا کہ تم ایک دوسرے سے کیا کرتے ہو کہیں تمہارے اعمال برباد نہ ہوجائیں اور تمہیں خبر بھی نہ ہو

English - Talal Itani

O you who believe! (Do) not raise your voices above (the) voice (of) the Prophet, and (do) not be loud to him in speech like (the) loudness (of) some of you to others, lest become worthless your deeds while you (do) not perceive.
