English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
So when the Queen’s ambassador came to Solomon, he said, ‘Do you mean to help me with your wealth? But that which Allah has given me is better than that which He has given you. Nay, but you rejoice in your gift.

پس جب وہ (وفد) سلیمان کے پاس آیا تو اس نے کہا کیا تم مجھے مال کے ذریعہ مدد دینا چاہتے ہو جبکہ اللہ نے جو مجھے عطا کیا ہے اُس سے بہتر ہے جو تمہیں عطا کیا ہے لیکن تم اپنے تحفے پر ہی اِترا رہے ہو۔

Alors, quand l’envoyé de la Reine arriva auprès de Salomon,celui-ci dit : « Avez-vous l’intention de m’aider avec votre richesse ? Mais ce qu’Allāh m’a donné est meilleur que ce qu’Il vous a donné. Mais vous êtes fiers de votre présent.

پھر جب وہ تحفہ سلیمان کے سامنے لاکر رکھا گیا تو اس نے کہا کیا تم مال کے ذریعہ سے میری مدد کرنا چاہتے ہو (اگر یہ بات ہے تو یاد رکھو کہ) اللہ نے جو کچھ مجھے دیا ہے وہ اس سے بہت بہتر ہے جو تم کو دیا ہے اور (معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ) تم اپنے تحفہ پر بڑے نازاں ہو۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
So when the Queen’s envoy came to Solomon, he said, ‘Do you presume to help me with your wealth? But that which Allah has given me is better than that which He has given you. Nay, you take pride in your gift;’[2169]
Solomon seems evidently to have become greatly offended with the Queen’s behaviour in sending him presents. He took it as an insult. He had demanded her surrender and instead was presented with paltry presents. The Sabaeans first had either attacked Solomon’s territory or had sought to create unrest in it. This is why the sending of presents by the Queen offended and annoyed him. In ordinary circumstances he would have been pleased with the presents.

جب وہ (ملکہ کا سفیر) سلیمانؑ کے ہاں پہنچا تو اس نے کہا "کیا تم لوگ مال سے میری مدد کرنا چاہتے ہو؟ جو کچھ خدا نے مجھے دے رکھا ہے وہ اس سے بہت زیادہ ہے جو تمہیں دیا ہے تمہارا ہدیہ تمہی کو مبارک رہے
