إِنَّ هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ مُتَبَّرٌ مَّا هُمْ فِيهِ وَبَٰطِلٌ مَّا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
‘As to these, surely destroyed shall be all that they are engaged in, and vain shall be all that they do.’

یقیناً یہ لوگ جس حال میں ہیں وہ برباد ہو جانے والا ہے اور باطل ہے وہ عمل جو وہ کرتے ہیں۔

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
جس کام میں وہ لگے ہوئے ہیں وہ یقیناً تباہ ہونے والا ہے اور جو کچھ وہ کر رہے ہیں سب بے کار جائے گا۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
‘Surely, all that these people are engaged in shall be destroyed, and vain shall be all that they do.’
English - Five Volume Translation
‘As to these, surely destroyed shall be all that they are engaged in, and vain shall be all that they do.’[1029]
Commentary:
The word "these" refers to the idol-worshippers whom the Israelites wished to copy. Moses explains to his men that the people they desired to imitate were a people doomed to perdition.

یہ لوگ جس طریقہ کی پیروی کر رہے ہیں وہ تو برباد ہونے والا ہے اور جو عمل وہ کر رہے ہیں وہ سراسر باطل ہے"
