وَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّن ذُكِّرَ بِـَٔايَٰتِ رَبِّهِۦ ثُمَّ أَعْرَضَ عَنْهَآ ۚ إِنَّا مِنَ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ مُنتَقِمُونَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
And who does greater wrong than he who is reminded of the Signs of his Lord and then turns away from them? We will surely punish the guilty.

اور کون اس سے زیادہ ظالم ہو سکتا ہے جو اپنے ربّ کی آیات کے ذریعہ اچھی طرح نصیحت کیا جائے پھر بھی اُن سے منہ موڑلے؟ یقیناً ہم مجرموں سے انتقام لینے والے ہیں۔

Et qui est plus injuste que celui auquel sont rappelés les Signes de son Seigneur, et qui s’en détourne ensuite ? Certainement Nous exigerons rétribution de ceux qui transgressent.

Und wer verübt ärgeren Frevel als jener, der an die Zeichen seines Herrn gemahnt wird und sich dann doch davon abwendet? Wahrlich, Wir werden die Sünder streng bestrafen.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اور جس کو اس کے رب کی آیات یاد دلائی جائیں پھر بھی وہ ان سے اعراض کرے اس سے زیادہ ظالم کون ہو سکتا ہے۔ ہم یقیناً مجرموں سے بدلہ لیں گے۔

And who is more unjust than he who is reminded of the Signs of his Lord and then turns away from them? We will, surely, exact retribution from the guilty.

Commentary:
That the enemies of truth and the rejecters of the Divine Message have never prospered is writ large on the pages of history.

اور اُس سے بڑا ظالم کون ہو گا جسے اس کے رب کی آیات کے ذریعہ سے نصیحت کی جائے اور پھر وہ ان سے منہ پھیر لے ایسے مجرموں سے تو ہم انتقام لے کر رہیں گے

The 'great seizure' may refer to the defeat of the Quraish at the Battle of Badr, or to the Fall of Mecca.

Commentary:
The "great seizure" may refer to the defeat of the Quraish at the Battle of Badr or to the Fall of Mecca when all their glory departed and their pride was humbled in the dust. They came to the Holy Prophet (whom they had hounded out of Mecca only eight years before) begging for mercy.
