English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
So that Allah will remove from them the evil consequences of what they did, and will give them their reward according to the best of their actions.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
تاکہ جو بدترین اعمال انہوں نے کئے (اُن کے اثرات) اللہ اُن سے دور کردے اور جو بہترین اعمال وہ کیا کرتے تھے اُن کے مطابق انہیں ان کا اجر عطا کرے۔

English - Five Volume Translation
[b]So that Allah will remove from them the evil consequences of what they did, and will give them their reward according to the best of their actions.[3459]
16:98; 29:8.
Commentary:
The verse purports to say that God covers up lapses, if any, of believers, and protects them against their evil consequences, while He rewards their good actions, of whatever degree and measure, as He would reward their best actions.
اردو ترجمہ مودودی
تاکہ جو بد ترین اعمال انہوں نے کیے تھے انہیں اللہ ان کے حساب سے ساقط کر دے اور جو بہترین اعمال وہ کرتے رہے اُن کے لحاظ سے اُن کو اجر عطا فرمائے

That Allah may remove from them the worst of what they did and reward them their due for the best of what they used to do.

تاکہ وہ مومنوں اور مومنات کو ایسی جنتوں میں داخل کرے جن کے دامن میں نہریں بہتی ہیں۔ وہ اُن میں ہمیشہ رہنے والے ہوں گے۔ اور وہ اُن سے اُن کی برائیاں دور کر دے۔ اور اللہ کے نزدیک یہ ایک بہت بڑی کامیابی ہے ۔

Afin qu’Il puisse admettre les croyants et les croyantes dans des Jardins sous lesquels coulent des rivières, où ils demeureront éternellement, et afin qu’Il puisse leur enlever leurs méfaits – et aux yeux d’Allāh, cela est un très grand succès –

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
(مومنوں کا ایمان بڑھانا) اس لئے ہوگا تا کہ وہ (اللہ) مومن مردوں اور مومن عورتوں کو ایسی جنتوں میں داخل کرے جن کے نیچے نہریں بہتی ہوں گی وہ ان میں ہمیشہ رہتے چلے جائیں گے اور تا کہ وہ (اللہ) ان کے گناہ[1] مٹا دے اور اللہ کے نزدیک یہی بڑی کامیابی ہے۔
یعنی ایمان کی زیادتی کے نتیجہ میں ایک تو اُخروی انعام بڑھ جائے گا۔ دوسرے وہ گناہوں سے پاک ہو جائیں گے۔
