وَاِنِّیۡ کُلَّمَا دَعَوۡتُہُمۡ لِتَغۡفِرَ لَہُمۡ جَعَلُوۡۤا اَصٰبِعَہُمۡ فِیۡۤ اٰذَانِہِمۡ وَاسۡتَغۡشَوۡا ثِیَابَہُمۡ وَاَصَرُّوۡا وَاسۡتَکۡبَرُوا اسۡتِکۡبَارًا

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

“And every time I called them that Thou mightest forgive them, they put their fingers into their ears, and covered up their hearts, and persisted in their iniquity, and were disdainfully proud.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور یقیناً جب کبھی میں نے اُنہیں دعوت دی تاکہ تُو انہیں بخش دے اُنہوں نے اپنی اُنگلیاں اپنے کانوں میں ڈال لیں اور اپنے کپڑے لپیٹ لئے اور بہت ضد کی اور بڑے استکبار سے کام لیا۔

French

Et, en vérité, toutes les fois que je les ai appelés pour que Tu leur pardonnes, ils se sont mis les doigts dans les oreilles, et se sont enveloppés de leurs vêtements, et ils ont persisté dans leurs iniquités, et ils se sont comportés avec une arrogance excessive.

Sooft ich sie rief, dass Du ihnen vergeben möchtest, steckten sie ihre Finger in die Ohren und hüllten sich in ihre Gewänder und verharrten (im Frevel) und wurden allzu hochfahrend.

11:6.

اِسْتَغْشَوْا ثِيَابَهُمْ (Istaghshau Thiyabahum, 他们用他们的衣服盖住头, 他们用他们的衣服蒙住), 一句是比喻:表示努哈和其民族中的不信者之间好像有幕状物, 凡是他向他们所说的, 都不能深入他们的心中。这句也可表示傲慢。

E ogni volta che li chiamavo, perché Tu li perdonassi, si turavano le orecchie con le dita e si stringevano nei vestiti e persistevano nella loro iniquità e si comportavano con arroganza estrema.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور میں نے جب کبھی ان کو تبلیغ کی تا کہ وہ مان لیں اور تو ان کو معاف کر دے تو انہوں نے اپنی انگلیاں اپنے کانوں میں ڈال لیں اور اپنے کپڑے (اپنے سر کے گرد) لپیٹ لیے اور انکار پر اصرار کیا اور شدید تکبر سے کام لیا۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

‘And every time I called them that Thou mightest forgive them, they put their fingers into their ears, [c]and drew close their garments,[3131] and persisted in their iniquities and were disdainfully proud;

11:6.

The words Istaghshau Thiyabahum metaphorically mean: 'They refused to listen to the Divine Message. They closed all the avenues of their hearts against it, Thiyab meaning 'hearts' (Lane).

And every time I called them that Thou mightest forgive them, they put their fingers into their ears, and [a]covered themselves with their garments, and persisted in their iniquity, and were disdainfully proud.[4389]

اور جب بھی میں نے اُن کو بلایا تاکہ تو اُنہیں معاف کر دے، انہوں نے کانوں میں انگلیاں ٹھونس لیں اور اپنے کپڑوں سے منہ ڈھانک لیے اور اپنی روش پر اڑ گئے اور بڑا تکبر کیا

And indeed, every time I invited them that You may forgive them, they put their fingers in their ears, covered themselves with their garments, persisted, and were arrogant with [great] arrogance.
