English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Whenever they will seek to get out of it from anguish, they will be turned back into it: and it will be said to them, ‘Taste ye the punishment of burning!’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

جب کبھی وہ ارادہ کریں گے کہ غم کی شدت کی وجہ سے اس میں سے نکل جائیں وہ اسی میں لوٹا دئیے جائیں گے اور (اُن سے کہا جائے گا کہ) تم آگ کا عذاب چکھو۔

French

Toutes les fois qu’ils chercheront à en sortir par suite deleur détresse, ils y seront repoussés ;et il leur sera dit : « Goûtez le châtiment de la Fournaise de l’Enfer. »

جب وہ غم اور فکر کی وجہ سے اس عذاب سے نکلنے کی کوشش کریں گے تو پھر اسی کی طرف لوٹا دئے جائیں گے (اور کہا جائے گا) جلانے والا عذاب بھگتتے چلے جاؤ۔

Commentary:

The expression من غم may also mean, on account of غم (anguish), or غم being case in apposition with the pronoun ھا (ha), the expression may mean, whenever they will seek to get out of it, i.e. out of غم (anguish).

جب کبھی وہ گھبرا کر جہنّم سے نکلنے کی کوشش کریں گے پھر اُسی میں دھکیل دیے جائیں گے کہ چکھو اب جلنے کی سزا کا مزا

Every time they want to get out of Hellfire from anguish, they will be returned to it, and [it will be said], "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire!"

اور جہاں تک ان لوگوں کا تعلق ہے جنہوں نے نافرمانی کی تو ان کا ٹھکانا آگ ہے۔ جب کبھی وہ ارادہ کریں گے کہ اُس سے نکل جائیں تو اُسی میں لوٹا دئیے جائیں گے اور ان سے کہا جائے گا کہ اس آگ کا عذاب چکھو جسے تم جھٹلایا کرتے تھے۔

Commentary:

The reference in the word "fire" in this verse seems to be to the punishment which the sinners suffer in this life, possibly the punishment of war. The words, "every time they desire to come forth therefrom, they will be turned back into it," support this inference. The whole of humanity, particularly the materialistic Western nations, have gone to rack and ruin by constant wars. Millions of lives have been lost in these wars and many more men have been maimed and mutilated, and property beyond calculation has been destroyed. And yet like the sword of Democles the dread of more terrible wars is constantly hanging over humanity’s head.

اور جنہوں نے فسق اختیار کیا ہے اُن کا ٹھکانا دوزخ ہے جب کبھی وہ اس سے نکلنا چاہیں گے اسی میں دھکیل دیے جائیں گے اور ان سے کہا جائے گا کہ چکھو اب اُسی آگ کے عذاب کا مزا جس کو تم جھٹلایا کرتے تھے

But as for those who defiantly disobeyed, their refuge is the Fire. Every time they wish to emerge from it, they will be returned to it while it is said to them, "Taste the punishment of the Fire which you used to deny."
