وَمِنْ ءَايَٰتِهِۦٓ أَن تَقُومَ ٱلسَّمَآءُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ بِأَمْرِهِۦ ۚ ثُمَّ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ دَعْوَةً مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ إِذَآ أَنتُمْ تَخْرُجُونَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And among His Signs is this, that the heaven and the earth stand firm by His command. Then when He calls you by a call coming from the earth, behold, you will come forth.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور اس کے نشانات میں سے (یہ بھی) ہے کہ آسمان اور زمین اس کے حکم کے ساتھ قائم ہیں۔ پھر جب وہ تمہیں زمین سے ایک آواز دے گا تو اچانک تم نکل کھڑے ہو گے۔

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور اس کے نشانوں میں سے آسمانوں اور زمین کا اس کے حکم سے کھڑا رہنا بھی ہے۔ پھر (اس کا یہ نشان بھی ظاہر ہوگا کہ) جب وہ تم کو زمین سے نکلنے کے لئے ایک آواز دے گا تو اچانک تم زمین سے نکلنے لگو گے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

[e]And of His Signs is that the heaven and the earth stand firm by His command.[2281] Then when He calls you by a single call to come forth from the earth, behold, you will come forth.

35:42.

Long ages have passed since the solar system came into being, yet nothing has gone wrong with it. Such is God’s handiwork that planets keep their orbits without any visible support.

Commentary:

At another place in the Quran we have: "Who raised up the heavens without any pillars that you can see" (13:3). Long ages have passed since this solar system came into being, yet nothing has gone wrong with it. Such is God’s handiwork that stars keep their orbits without any visible support. The law of gravitation which is supposed to keep them in their respective positions was discovered long afterwards. This fact too points to God’s great powers and control over the universe. See also 13:3.

اور اُس کی نشانیوں میں سے یہ ہے کہ آسمان اور زمین اس کے حکم سے قائم ہیں پھر جونہی کہ اُس نے تمہیں زمین سے پکارا، بس ایک ہی پکار میں اچانک تم نکل آؤ گے

And of His signs is that the heaven and earth remain by His command. Then when He calls you with a [single] call from the earth, immediately you will come forth.
