39:10
اَمَّنۡ ہُوَ قٰنِتٌ اٰنَآءَ الَّیۡلِ سَاجِدًا وَّقَآئِمًا یَّحۡذَرُ الۡاٰخِرَۃَ وَیَرۡجُوۡا رَحۡمَۃَ رَبِّہٖ ۗ قُلۡ ہَلۡ یَسۡتَوِی الَّذِیۡنَ یَعۡلَمُوۡنَ وَالَّذِیۡنَ لَا یَعۡلَمُوۡنَ ۗ اِنَّمَا یَتَذَکَّرُ اُولُوا الۡاَلۡبٰبِ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Is he who prays devoutly to God in the hours of the night, prostrating himself and standing, and fears the Hereafter and hopes for the mercy of his Lord, like him who does not do so? Say, ‘Are those who know equal to those who know not?’ Verily, only those endowed with understanding will take heed.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
کیا وہ جو رات کی گھڑیوں میں عبادت کرنے والا ہے (کبھی) سجدہ کی حالت میں، اور (کبھی) قیام کی صورت میں، آخرت سے ڈرتا ہے اور اپنے ربّ کی رحمت کی امید رکھتا ہے(صاحبِ علم نہیں ہوتا؟) تو پوچھ کہ کیا وہ لوگ جو علم رکھتے ہیں اور وہ جو علم نہیں رکھتے برابر ہو سکتے ہیں؟ یقیناً عقل والے ہی نصیحت پکڑتے ہیں۔
French
Celui qui prie Allāh avec dévotion pendant les heures de la nuit, se prosternant et se tenant debout, et qui craint l’au-delà, et qui espère la miséricorde de son Seigneur, est-il pareil à celui qui ne fait pas tout cela ? Dis : « Ceux qui savent peuvent-ils être égaux à ceux qui ne savent pas ? » En vérité, seuls ceux qui sont doués d’intelligence prendront garde.

Ist etwa jener, der zu Gott betet in den Stunden der Nacht, kniefällig und stehend, der sich vor dem Jenseits fürchtet und auf die Barmherzigkeit seines Herrn hofft (einem Ungehorsamen gleich)? Sprich: "Sind solche, die wissen, denen gleich, die nicht wissen?" Allein nur die mit Verstand Begabten lassen sich warnen.

在夜间 (礼拜) 中叩头、直立、专心 (向安拉祈祷)、惧怕后世、仰望他养主仁慈的人 (与不顺从的人一样)? 你说: [c]“那些知道的人与那些不知道的人相等?” 毫无疑义地, 只有具备理解力的人将来才会接受劝告。

Colui che prega devotamente Dio nelle ore della notte, prostrato e in piedi, e teme l'Aldilà e spera nella misericordia del Signore, è forse uguale a colui che non lo fa? Di': «Possono quelli che sanno e quelli che non sanno essere uguali?» In verità, solo coloro che sono dotati di intelletto daranno ascolto.

¿Acaso quien ora con devoción a Dios en las horas de la noche, postrado y de pie, teme el Más Allá y espera la misericordia de u Señor, puede equipararse a quien no actúa así? Di : “¿Son acaso iguales quienes conocen y quienes no conocen?”. En verdad, sólo caerán en la cuenta los dotados de conocimiento.

کیا جو شخص رات کی گھڑیوں میں سجدہ اور قیام کی صورت میں فرمانبرداری کا نمونہ دکھاتا ہے اور آخرت سے ڈرتا ہے اور اپنے رب کی رحمت کی امید رکھتا ہے (وہ نافرمان کی طرح ہو سکتا ہے) تو کہہ دے کیا علم والے لوگ اور جاہل برابر ہو سکتے ہیں؟ نصیحت تو صرف عقل مند لوگ حاصل کیا کرتے ہیں۔

Is he who prays devoutly to Allah in the hours of the night, prostrating himself and standing in prayer and fears the Hereafter and hopes for the mercy of his Lord, like him who is disobedient? Say, [a]‘Are those who know equal to those who know not?’ Verily, only those endowed with understanding will take heed.

Is he who prays devoutly to God in the hours of the night, prostrating himself and standing in prayer and fears the Hereafter and hopes for the mercy of his Lord, like him who is disobedient? Say, [c]‘Are those who know equal to those who know not?’ Verily, only those know not?’ Verily, only those endowed with understanding will take heed.[3444]

Commentary:
The verse refers to two classes of men—believers who are described as obedient men endowed with knowledge and understanding; and disbelievers who are their opposites.

(کیا اِس شخص کی روش بہتر ہے یا اُس شخص کی) جو مطیع فرمان ہے، رات کی گھڑیوں میں کھڑا رہتا اور سجدے کرتا ہے، آخرت سے ڈرتا اور اپنے رب کی رحمت سے امید لگاتا ہے؟ اِن سے پوچھو، کیا جاننے والے اور نہ جاننے والے دونوں کبھی یکساں ہو سکتے ہیں؟ نصیحت تو عقل رکھنے والے ہی قبول کرتے ہیں

Is one who is devoutly obedient during periods of the night, prostrating and standing [in prayer], fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the mercy of his Lord, [like one who does not]? Say, "Are those who know equal to those who do not know?" Only they will remember [who are] people of understanding.

(کیا کافر بہتر ہے) یا وہ جو رات کے اوقات میں سجدہ اور قیام کی حالت میں عبادت کر رہا ہو آخرت سے ڈر رہا ہو اور اپنے رب کی رحمت کی امید کر رہا ہو کہہ دو کیا علم والے اور بے علم برابر ہو سکتے ہیں سمجھتے وہی ہیں جو عقل والے ہیں
