English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
True believers are only those whose hearts tremble when the name of Allah is mentioned, and when His Signs are recited to them they increase their faith, and who put their trust in their Lord,

مومن صرف وہی ہیں کہ جب اللہ کا ذکر کیا جاتا ہے تو ان کے دل ڈر جاتے ہیں اور جب ان پر اُس کی آیات پڑھی جاتی ہیں تو وہ ان کو ایمان میں بڑھا دیتی ہیں اور وہ اپنے ربّ پر ہی توکل کرتے ہیں۔

Seuls sont de vrais croyants ceux dont le cœur tremble lorsque le nom d’Allāh est mentionné ; et lorsque Ses Signes leur sont récités, cela augmente leur foi ; et qui se fient totalement à leur Seigneur.

مومن تو صرف وہی ہیں کہ جب (ان کے سامنے) اللہ کا ذکر کیا جائے تو ان کے دل ڈر جائیں اور جب ان کے سامنے اس کی آیات پڑھی جائیں تو وہ ان کے ایمان کو بڑھا دیں۔ نیز (مومن وہ ہیں) جو اپنے رب پر توکل کرتے ہیں۔

[a]True believers are only those whose hearts tremble [b]when the name of Allah is mentioned, and when His Signs are recited to them, have their faith increased thereby, and who put their trust in their Lord,[1093]
22:36.

Commentary:
The preceding verse ended with the words, if you are believers, and the present fittingly describes a sure sign of true belief necessary for the fulfilment of the promise of victory contained in the previous verse. If a person claims to be a believer in God, but in practical life the name of God means nothing to him and quickens no chords in his heart, his belief is not a true one. Belief should be something real and living.

سچّے اہل ایمان تو وہ لوگ ہیں جن کے دل اللہ کا ذکر سُن کر لرز جاتے ہیں اور جب اللہ کی آیات ان کے سامنے پڑھی جاتی ہیں تو ان کا ایمان بڑھ جاتا ہے اور وہ اپنے رب پر اعتماد رکھتے ہیں

The believers are only those who, when Allah is mentioned, their hearts become fearful, and when His verses are recited to them, it increases them in faith; and upon their Lord they rely -

Pues siempre que se revela un Surah, hay alguno de ellos que dice: “¿A cuál de vosotros ha aumentado en la fe este Surah? Pero en lo que respecta a los creyentes, aumenta su fe y se alegran por ello.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اور جب کبھی کوئی سورۃ نازل ہوتی ہے تو ان میں سے بعض (منافق) کہتے ہیں کہ اس (سورۃ) نے تم میں سے کس کا ایمان بڑھایا ہے؟ سو (یاد رکھو کہ) جو لوگ مومن ہیں (ان کے پہلے ایمان کے نتیجہ میں) ان کے ایمان کو اس (سورۃ) نے بڑھایا ہے اور وہ خوشی حاصل کر رہے ہیں۔

Commentary:
The question, which of you has this Surah increased in faith, refers to the contention of the hypocrites that the Quranic Surahs increase none in faith. This objection of the hypocrites is answered in the words that follow.
اردو ترجمہ مودودی
جب کوئی نئی سورت نازل ہوتی ہے تو ان میں سے بعض لوگ (مذاق کے طور پر مسلمانوں سے) پوچھتے ہیں کہ "کہو، تم میں سے کس کے ایمان میں اس سے اضافہ ہوا؟" (اس کا جواب یہ ہے کہ) جو لوگ ایمان لائے ہیں ان کے ایمان میں تو فی الواقع (ہر نازل ہونے والی سورت نے) اضافہ ہی کیا ہے اور وہ اس سے دلشاد ہیں

And whenever a surah is revealed, there are among the hypocrites those who say, "Which of you has this increased faith?" As for those who believed, it has increased them in faith, while they are rejoicing.

Commentary:
Divine revelation is like rainwater. If the seed is good and the soil favourable, rain is sure to help in producing a good crop; but if the seed and the soil are bad, the crop is bound to be bad in spite of good rain. As the soil of the hearts of the hypocrites was unclean and corrupt, the water of Divine revelation only served to add to their filth; for with the coming down of heavenly rain the filth that lay hidden in the hearts of the disbelievers also came out.

البتہ جن لوگوں کے دلوں کو (نفاق کا) روگ لگا ہوا تھا اُن کی سابق نجاست پر (ہر نئی سورت نے) ایک اور نجاست کا اضافہ کر دیا اور وہ مرتے دم تک کفر ہی میں مبتلا رہے
