وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذْ فَزِعُوا۟ فَلَا فَوْتَ وَأُخِذُوا۟ مِن مَّكَانٍ قَرِيبٍ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Couldst thou but see when they will be smitten with fear! Then there will be no escape, and they will be seized from a place nearby.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اور کاش تُو دیکھ سکے جب وہ سخت گھبراہٹ محسوس کریں گے اور (اس کا) زائل ہونا کسی طرح ممکن نہ ہوگا اور وہ قریب کے مقام سے (یعنی جلد تَر) پکڑے جائیں گے۔

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اور اگر تو اس حالت کو دیکھے جبکہ یہ (خدا کے عذابوں کی وجہ سے) گھبرا جائیں گے اور انہیں بھاگنے کا کوئی رستہ نہ ملے گا اور ایک قریب کے مکان سے وہ پکڑ لئے جائیں گے (تو تجھے معلوم ہو جائے کہ یہ کیسے تھڑدلے ہیں) ۔

Couldst thou but see when they will be smitten with fear! Then there will be no escape, and they will be seized from a place nearby.[3172]
Commentary:
The words "from a place nearby" may either refer to the battlefield of Badr or to the Fall of Mecca. The verse thus means that disbelievers will realize that they were in the wrong when they would sustain a crushing defeat at Badr or when their great citadel, Mecca, would fall to Muslim arms.

کاش تم دیکھو اِنہیں اُس وقت جب یہ لوگ گھبرائے پھر رہے ہوں گے اور کہیں بچ کر نہ جا سکیں گے، بلکہ قریب ہی سے پکڑ لیے جائیں گے

Commentary:
