(اس پر سرداروں نے) کہا موسیٰ کو اور اس کے بھائی کو (کچھ) ڈھیل دیں اور تمام شہروں میں ڈھنڈھورچی بھیج دیں۔

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
انہوں نے کہا‘ اس کو اور اس کے بھائی کو (کچھ دن) ڈھیل دے اور مختلف شہروں[1] کی طرف آدمی بھجوا جو (قابل آدمیوں کو) جمع کر سکیں۔
فِی الْمدَآئِنِ میں فِیْ بمعنے اِلٰی ہے۔ چنانچہ لغت میں لکھا ہے مُرَادِفَۃُ اِلٰی نَحْوَ فَرَدُّوْا اَیْدِیَـھُمْ فِیْ اَفْوَاھِھِمْ اَیْ اِلَیْھَا یعنی فِیْ بعض اوقات اِلٰی کے معنوں میں بھی آجاتا ہے جیسے آیت فَرَدُّوْا اَیْدِیَھُمْ فِیْ اَفْوَاھِھِمْ میں ہے۔

فِی الْمدَآئِنِ میں فِیْ بمعنے اِلٰی ہے۔ چنانچہ لغت میں لکھا ہے مُرَادِفَۃُ اِلٰی نَحْوَ فَرَدُّوْا اَیْدِیَـھُمْ فِیْ اَفْوَاھِھِمْ اَیْ اِلَیْھَا یعنی فِیْ بعض اوقات اِلٰی کے معنوں میں بھی آجاتا ہے جیسے آیت فَرَدُّوْا اَیْدِیَھُمْ فِیْ اَفْوَاھِھِمْ میں ہے۔
