In the last case the particle ب will be taken as understood before الزور.

Having suffered a crushing defeat at the hands of a handful of inexperienced and ill-equipped Muslims, they felt deeply humiliated and mortified. The prophecy was fulfilled to the very letter.
The الساعة (Hour) mentioned in this and the opening verse of the Surah refers to the Battle of Badr.
