They say غاله i.e. he or it destroyed him; or it seized him or took him away unawares. اغتاله الخمرmeans, the wine deprived him of his reason. غولmeans, far extent of a desert; the evil result of headache; headache or intoxication; deprivation of intellectual faculties (Lane & Aqrab).
