فَأَمَّا عَادٌ فَٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ وَقَالُوا۟ مَنْ أَشَدُّ مِنَّا قُوَّةً ۖ أَوَلَمْ يَرَوْا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَهُمْ هُوَ أَشَدُّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً ۖ وَكَانُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا يَجْحَدُونَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
As for ‘Ad, they behaved arrogantly in the earth without any justification and said, ‘Who is mightier than we in power?’ Do they not see that Allah, Who created them, is mightier than they in power? Still they continued to deny Our Signs.

پس رہے عاد، تو انہوں نے زمین میں ناحق تکبر سے کام لیا اور کہا کون ہے جو ہم سے قوّت میں زیادہ شدید ہے؟ کیا انہوں نے دیکھا نہیں کہ اللہ جس نے انہیں پیدا کیا اُن سے قوّت میں شدید تر ہے اور وہ مسلسل ہمارے نشانات کا انکار کرتے رہے؟

Quant aux ‘Ād, ils se comportèrent avec arrogance sur la terre sans justification, et dirent : « Qui est plus fort que nous ? » Ne voient-ils pas qu’Allāh, Qui les a créés, est plus fort qu’eux ? Mais ils continuèrent à nier Nos Signes.

Was nun die ´Âd anlangt, so betrugen sie sich hoffärtig auf Erden ohne Recht und sprachen: "Wer ist stärker als wir an Macht?" Konnten sie denn nicht sehen, dass Allah, Der sie erschuf, stärker an Macht war als sie? Jedoch sie fuhren fort, Unsere Zeichen zu leugnen.

至于阿德人, 他们在大地上无理由地举止骄傲自大, 他们说: “谁比我们力量更强大?” 难道他们没曾看到那创造了他们的安拉不比他们的力量更强大? 可是他们仍旧继续拒绝我的迹象。

Quanto agli ‘Ad, essi si comportarono con arroganza sulla terra, senza motivo alcuno, e dissero: «Chi è più potente di noi?» Non vedono che Allah, che li ha creati, è più potente di loro? Eppure, continuarono a negare i Nostri segni.

En cuanto a Ad, se comportaron con arrogancia en la tierra sin justificación alguna y dijeron: “¿quién es más fuerte que nosotros en poder?”. Acaso no ven que Al-lah, que los creó, es más fuerte que ellos en poderío? Y sin embargo continúan negando Nuestros Signos.

اور عاد کی قوم نے زمین میں بغیر کسی حق کے تکبر سے کام لیا اور کہا‘ ہم سے زیادہ قوت میں کون ہے کیا انہوں نے دیکھا نہیں کہ جس خدا نے ان کو پیدا کیا ہے۔ وہ ان سے زیادہ طاقتور ہے اور وہ ہماری آیتوں کا بضد انکار کرتے تھے۔

عاد کا حال یہ تھا کہ وہ زمین میں کسی حق کے بغیر بڑے بن بیٹھے اور کہنے لگے "کون ہے ہم سے زیادہ زور آور" اُن کو یہ نہ سوجھا کہ جس خدا نے ان کو پیدا کیا ہے وہ ان سے زیادہ زور آور ہے؟ وہ ہماری آیات کا انکار ہی کرتے رہے

As for 'Aad, they were arrogant upon the earth without right and said, "Who is greater than us in strength?" Did they not consider that Allah who created them was greater than them in strength? But they were rejecting Our signs.

پس قوم عاد نے زمین میں ناحق تکبر کیا اورکہا ہم سے طاقت میں کون زیادہ ہے کیا انہوں نے دیکھا نہیں کہ الله جس نے انہیں پیدا کیا ہے وہ ان سے طاقت میں کہیں بڑھ کر ہے وہ ہماری آیتوں کا انکار کرتے رہے

As for Ad, they waxed proud in the earth without right, and they said, 'Who is stronger than we in might?' What, did they not see that God, who created them, was stronger than they in might? And they denied Our signs.

As for Ad, they waxed proud in the land without justification and said: “Who is greater than we in strength?” Did they not see that Allah, Who created them, is greater in strength than they? They continued to deny Our Signs,

Important Words:
العماد (lofty buildings) is the plural of عمود and عمادة which are both derived from عمد . They say عمده i.e. he supported it. اعتمدت علیه means, I relied upon him in such a case. عماد means, lofty buildings. ذات العماد means, possessing lofty buildings supported by columns or possessing tallness; possessor of tents. فلان رفیع العماد means, such a one is a person of exalted nobility. ھو عماد القوم means, he is the support of his people (Lane & Aqrab).

العماد (lofty buildings) is the plural of عمود and عمادة which are both derived from عمد .
