ضَرَبَ لَكُم مَّثَلًا مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ ۖ هَل لَّكُم مِّن مَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَٰنُكُم مِّن شُرَكَآءَ فِى مَا رَزَقْنَٰكُمْ فَأَنتُمْ فِيهِ سَوَآءٌ تَخَافُونَهُمْ كَخِيفَتِكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلْءَايَٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

He sets forth for you a parable concerning yourselves. Have you, among those whom your right hands possess, partners in what We have provided for you so that you become equal sharers therein and fear them as you fear each other? Thus do We explain the Signs to a people who understand.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

وہ تمہارے لئے تمہاری اپنی ہی مثال دیتا ہے۔ کیا ان لوگوں میں سے جو تمہارے زیرنگیں ہیں ایسے بھی ہیں کہ اُس رزق میں شریک بنے ہوں جو ہم نے تمہیں عطا کیا ہے۔ پھر تم اس میں برابر ہو جاؤ (اور) اُن سے اُسی طرح خوف کھاؤ جیسے تم اپنوں سے خوف کھاتے ہو؟ اسی طرح ہم ان لوگوں کے لئے آیات خوب کھول کھول کر بیان کرتے ہیں جو عقل کرتے ہیں۔

French

Il vous propose une parabole vous concernant vous-mêmes. Auriez-vous, parmi vos esclaves, des associés, dans la provision que Nous vous avons accordée, de sorte qu'eux et vous vous deveniez des partenaires égaux à cet égard, à tel point que vous les craigniez comme vous vous craignez les uns les autres ? C’est ainsi que Nous expliquons clairement les Signes à un peuple qui comprend.

German

Er setzt euch ein Gleichnis von euch selber. Habt ihr unter denen, die eure Rechte besitzt, Teilhaber an dem, was Wir euch gaben? Seid ihr darin also gleich (und) fürchtet ihr sie, wie ihr einander fürchtet? Also machen Wir die Zeichen klar für ein Volk, das versteht.

他为你们拿你们自己打个比喻: 你们愿意和你们手下的人共享我所赐给你们的供养, 而你们 (主仆) 之间在其 (财物) 中完全平等, 而且你们惧怕他们 (奴仆) 像你们互相惧怕一样? 我就这样为有理智的民族详细地叙述我的启示。

Egli vi propone una parabola che riguarda voi stessi. Tra quanti le vostre mani destre possiedono, avete voi dei compagni in ciò che Noi vi fornimmo, così da esserne partecipi in egual misura, e che temete come vi temete l'un l'altro? Così Noi spieghiamo i segni a un popolo che capisce.

Él os propone una parábola relativa a vosotros mismos. ¿Acaso habéis hecho que vuestros esclavos se conviertan en socios de lo que os hemos proporcionado y tengan igual participación, de tal forma que habéis comenzado a temerles como os teméis mutuamente? Así explicamos los Signos a un pueblo que entiende.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اس نے تمہارے سمجھانے کے لئے تمہاری ہی جنس کی ایک حالت بیان کی ہے (جو یہ ہے کہ) جن لوگوں کے تمہارے دائیں ہاتھ مالک ہوتے ہیں۔ کیا ان میں سے کوئی اس (مال) میں جو ہم نے تم کو دیا ہے تمہارا برابر کا شریک بھی ہوتا ہے اس طرح کہ تم سب (مالک و غلام) اس (مال و دولت) میں برابر ہو جاتے ہو اور ان (غلاموں) سے اس طرح ڈرتے ہو جس طرح تم اپنے[1] آپ سے ڈرتے ہو اسی طرح ہم عقل والی قوم کے لئے نشان کھول کھول کر بیان کرتے ہیں۔

یعنی جس طرح اُن کو مال سپرد کرنے سے پہلے تم اپنے مال کے مالک تھے اور جتنا چاہتے تھے اپنی جان پر خرچ کر سکتے تھے۔ کیا تم اپنے غلاموں کو مال پر اتنا قبضہ بھی دیا کرتے ہو کہ پھر تم ڈرنے لگو کہ معلوم نہیں یہ ہمیں کچھ کھانے کو بھی دیں گے یا نہیں اور تمہارے قبضہ کی کوئی علامت باقی نہ رہتی ہو۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

He sets forth for you a parable concerning yourselves. Have you, among those whom your right hands possess, partners in what We have provided for you so that you become equal sharers therein,[2283] and you fear them as you fear each other? Thus do We explain the Signs to a people who understand.

The verse purports to say that when a master and a slave are not equal though they are both human beings, and when the master would not share his wealth and property with his slave, how then could God, the sole Creator and Controller of all things, be regarded as sharing the control of the universe with anybody?

English - Five Volume Translation

He sets forth for you a parable concerning yourselves. Have you, among those whom your right hands possess, partners in what We have provided for you so that you become equal sharers therein, and fear them as you fear each other? Thus do We explain the Signs to a people who understand.[3010]

Commentary:

This verse contains a very effective argument against polytheism. It purports to say that when a master and slave are not equal though they are both human beings, and when the master would not share his wealth and property with his slave, how then could God, the sole Creator and Controller of all things, be equal to idols of wood and stone and how could He be regarded as sharing the control of the universe with anybody. See also 21:23.

وہ تمہیں خود تمہاری اپنی ہی ذات سے ایک مثال دیتا ہے کیا تمہارے اُن غلاموں میں سے جو تمہاری ملکیت میں ہیں کچھ غلام ایسے بھی ہیں جو ہمارے دیے ہوئے مال و دولت میں تمہارے ساتھ برابر کے شریک ہوں اور تم اُن سے اُس طرح ڈرتے ہو جس طرح آپس میں اپنے ہمسروں سے ڈرتے ہو؟ اس طرح ہم آیات کھول کر پیش کرتے ہیں اُن لوگوں کے لیے جو عقل سے کام لیتے ہیں

English - Sahih

He presents to you an example from yourselves. Do you have among those whom your right hands possess any partners in what We have provided for you so that you are equal therein [and] would fear them as your fear of one another [within a partnership]? Thus do We detail the verses for a people who use reason.

وہ تمہارے لیے تمہارے ہی حال کی ایک مثال بیان فرماتا ہے کیا جن کے تم مالک ہو وہ اس میں جو ہم نے تمہیں دیا ہے تمہارے شریک ہیں پھر اس میں تم برابر ہو تم ان سے اس طرح ڈرتے ہو جس طرح اپنوں سے ڈرتے ہو اس طرح ہم عقل والوں کے لیے آیتیں کھول کر بیان کرتے ہیں

He has struck for you a similitude from yourselves; do you have, among that your right hands own, associates in what We have provided for you so that you are equal in regard to it, you fearing them as you fear each other? So We distinguish the signs for a people who understand.

He sets forth for you a parable from your own lives. Do you have among your slaves some who share with you the sustenance that We have bestowed on you so that you become equals in it, all being alike, and then you would hold them in fear as you fear each other? Thus do We make plain the Signs for those who use reason.

He gives you an example from your own life: Do you possess among your dependants any partners in what We have bestowed on you, so that you and they have equal (share) in it, and that you fear them as you fear each other? That is how We explain Our signs clearly for those who comprehend.
