قَالَ یٰۤاِبۡلِیۡسُ مَا مَنَعَکَ اَنۡ تَسۡجُدَ لِمَا خَلَقۡتُ بِیَدَیَّ ۖ اَسۡتَکۡبَرۡتَ اَمۡ کُنۡتَ مِنَ الۡعَالِیۡنَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
God said, ‘O Iblis, what hindered thee from submitting to what I had created with My two hands? Is it that thou art too proud or art thou really of the exalted ones?’
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اس نے کہا اے ابلیس! تجھے کس چیز نے اُسے سجدہ کرنے سے منع کیا جسے میں نے اپنی (قدرت کے) دونوں ہاتھوں سے تخلیق کیا تھا؟ کیا تو نے تکبر سے کام لیا ہے یا تو بہت اونچے لوگوں میں سے ہے؟

Allāh dit : « Ô Iblīs, qu’est-ce qui t’a empêché de te soumettre à ce que J’ai créé de Mes deux mains ? As-tu agi avec fierté ou es-tu vraiment parmi les plus élevés ? »

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
(اللہ نے) فرمایا‘ اے ابلیس! تجھے کس نے اس بات سے روکا کہ جس کو میں نے اپنے دونوں[2] ہاتھوں سے بنایا تھا اس کی فرمانبرداری کرتا۔ کیا تو نے اپنے آپ کو بڑا سمجھا یا تو واقعہ میں میرے حکم ماننے سے بالا ہے۔
یعنی تمام صفات اس کے اندر جمع کر دی ہیں کیونکہ عربی میں تثنیہ جمع کے لئے بھی استعمال ہوتا ہے (دیکھو فقہ اللغہ جلد۲صفحہ ۲۱۶)

[a]God said, ‘O Iblis, what hindered thee from submitting to what I had created with My two hands? Is it that thou art too proud or art thou really of the exalted ones?’
7:13; 15:33.
اردو ترجمہ مودودی
رب نے فرمایا "اے ابلیس، تجھے کیا چیز اُس کو سجدہ کرنے سے مانع ہوئی جسے میں نے اپنے دونوں ہاتھوں سے بنایا ہے؟ تو بڑا بن رہا ہے یا تو ہے ہی کچھ اونچے درجے کی ہستیوں میں سے؟"
English - Sahih
[Allah] said, "O Iblees, what prevented you from prostrating to that which I created with My hands? Were you arrogant [then], or were you [already] among the haughty?"

فرمایا اے ابلیس! تمہیں اس کےے سجدہ کرنے سے کس نے منع کیا جسے میں نے اپنے ہاتھوں سے بنایا کیا تو نے تکبر کیا یا تو بڑوں میں سے تھا
