یٰۤاِبۡرٰہِیۡمُ اَعۡرِضۡ عَنۡ ہٰذَاۤ ۖ اِنَّہٗ قَدۡ جَآءَ اَمۡرُ رَبِّکَ ۖ وَاِنَّہُمۡ اٰتِیۡہِمۡ عَذَابٌ غَیۡرُ مَرۡدُوۡدٍ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
‘O Abraham, turn away from this. Surely, the command of thy Lord has gone forth, and surely, there is coming to them a punishment that cannot be averted.’
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اے ابراہیم! اس (بات) سے کنارہ کر لے۔ یقیناً تیرے ربّ کا فیصلہ صادر ہو چکا ہے اور یقیناً اُن پر ایک نہ ٹالا جانے والا عذاب آئے گا۔

» Ô Abraham ! Renonce à cela. Assurément, ton Seigneur a déjà donné Son décret et assurément un châtiment qu’on ne peut détourner va s’abattre sur eux. «

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
(اس پر ہم نے اسے کہا) اے ابراہیم! تو اس (سفارش) سے رک جا۔ کیونکہ تیرے رب کا (آخری) حکم آچکا ہے اور ان کی کفار کی ایسی حالت ہے کہ ان پر نہ ٹلنے والا عذاب آکر رہے گا۔
English - Short Commentary Translation
‘O Abraham, desist from this. Surely, the decree of thy Lord has gone forth, and surely, there is coming to them a punishment that cannot be averted.’
English - Five Volume Translation
‘O Abraham, turn away from this. Surely, the command of thy Lord has gone forth, and surely, there is coming to them a punishment that cannot be averted.’[1457]
Commentary:
The tone of the Divine reply shows God’s great regard for Abraham. Instead of directly rejecting his request, God lovingly asks him to let the matter go, for His decree has already come to pass and the punishment could not now be averted.
اردو ترجمہ مودودی
(آخر کار ہمارے فرشتوں نے اس سے کہا) "اے ابراہیمؑ، اس سے باز آ جاؤ، تمہارے رب کا حکم ہو چکا ہے اور اب ان لوگوں پر وہ عذاب آکر رہے گا جو کسی کے پھیرے نہیں پھر سکتا"

[The angels said], "O Abraham, give up this [plea]. Indeed, the command of your Lord has come, and indeed, there will reach them a punishment that cannot be repelled."
