فَخَرَجَ عَلَىٰ قَوْمِهِۦ فِى زِينَتِهِۦ ۖ قَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ يُرِيدُونَ ٱلْحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنْيَا يَٰلَيْتَ لَنَا مِثْلَ مَآ أُوتِىَ قَٰرُونُ إِنَّهُۥ لَذُو حَظٍّ عَظِيمٍ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
So he went forth before his people in his pomp. Those who were desirous of the life of this world said, ‘O would that we had the like of what Korah has been given! Truly, he is the master of great fortune.’

پس وہ اپنی قوم میں اپنی سج دھج کے ساتھ نکلا۔ ان لوگوں نے جو دنیا کی زندگی چاہتے تھے کہا کاش! ہمارے لئے بھی ویسا ہی ہوتا جو قارون کو دیا گیا۔ یقیناً وہ بڑے نصیب والا ہے۔
French
Alors il parut en grand apparat devant son peuple. Ceux qui étaient désireux de la vie de ce monde, dirent : « Que n’avons-nous des richesses pareilles à celles qui ont été accordées à Korah ! En vérité, il possède une grande fortune. »

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
(ایک دن ایسا ہوا کہ) وہ اپنی قوم کے سامنے اپنی زینت[4] (یعنی اپنے باڈی گارڈ) کے ساتھ نکلا۔ اس پر وہ لوگ جو کہ دنیا کی زندگی کا سامان چاہتے تھے بول اٹھے‘ اے کاش! ہمیں بھی وہی کچھ ملتا جو قارون کو دیا گیا‘ اس کو تو (دنیا کا ایک) بہت بڑا حصہ ملا ہے۔
اس سے بھی ثابت ہوتا ہے کہ وہ سرکاری افسر تھا۔

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اور (باوجود ظلموں کے سہنے کے) اس (قسم کے سلوک) کی توفیق صرف انہی کو ملتی ہے جو بڑے صبر کرنے والے ہیں اور یا پھر ان کو ملتی ہے جن کو (خدا کی طرف سے نیکی کا) ایک بہت بڑا حصہ ملا ہو۔

Important Words:
حظ (share of good) is infinitive noun from حظ (hazza). They say حظ فی الامر i.e. he was or became fortunate or possessed of good fortune in the affair; he was or became wealthy. حظmeans, fortune or particularly good fortune; a share, portion or lot, especially of something good or excellent, luck; dignity; nobility (Lane & Aqrab).
Commentary:
The very high standard of good moral conduct referred to in the preceding verse can only be attained by putting up, without grumbling or fretting, with hardships one has to face in the way of God. And fortunate, indeed, is the person who disciplines himself to such a high standard.

یہ صفت نصیب نہیں ہوتی مگر اُن لوگوں کو جو صبر کرتے ہیں، اور یہ مقام حاصل نہیں ہوتا مگر اُن لوگوں کو جو بڑے نصیبے والے ہیں

But none is granted it except those who are patient, and none is granted it except one having a great portion [of good].

اور یہ بات نہیں دی جاتی مگر انہیں جو صابر ہوتے ہیں اور یہ بات نہیں دی جاتی مگر اس کو جو بڑا بخت والا ہے
