فَمَنْ أَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ ٱفْتَرَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ كَذِبًا أَوْ كَذَّبَ بِـَٔايَٰتِهِۦٓ ۚ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ يَنَالُهُمْ نَصِيبُهُم مِّنَ ٱلْكِتَٰبِ ۖ حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا جَآءَتْهُمْ رُسُلُنَا يَتَوَفَّوْنَهُمْ قَالُوٓا۟ أَيْنَ مَا كُنتُمْ تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ قَالُوا۟ ضَلُّوا۟ عَنَّا وَشَهِدُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ أَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا۟ كَٰفِرِينَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Who is, then, more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah or gives the lie to His Signs? It is these who shall have their lot as ordained till when Our messengers shall visit them to take away their souls, they shall say, ‘Where is that which you used to call upon beside Allah?’ They will answer, ‘We cannot find them;’ and they will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers.

پس اُس سے زیادہ ظالم کون ہے جو اللہ پر جھوٹ گھڑے یا اس کے نشانات کو جھٹلائے۔ یہی وہ لوگ ہیں جنہیں نوشتہء تقدیر میں سے اُن کا (مقدر) حصہ ملے گا یہاں تک کہ جب ہمارے ایلچی اُن کے پاس پہنچیں گے انہیں وفات دیتے ہوئے تو وہ انہیں کہیں گے کہ کہاں ہیں وہ جنہیں تم اللہ کے سوا پکارتے رہے ہو۔ (جواباً) وہ کہیں گے وہ سب ہم سے کھو گئے۔ اور وہ (خود) اپنے خلاف گواہی دیں گے کہ وہ کافر تھے۔

Qui donc est plus injuste que celui qui invente un mensonge contre Allāh, ou qui dément Ses Signes ? Ceux-là auront leur part qui a été prescrite, jusqu’au moment où Nos Messagers viennent à eux pour emporter leur âme, ils diront, « Où donc se trouve ce à quoi vous aviez l’habitude de faire appel à la place d’Allāh ? » Ils répondront : « Nous les avons complètement perdus. » Et ils porteront témoignage contre eux-mêmes qu’ils étaient mécréants.

Wer ist wohl frevelhafter als der; der eine Lüge wider Allah erdichtet oder Seine Zeichen der Lüge zeiht? Diesen soll das ihnen bestimmte Los werden, bis Unsere Boten zu ihnen kommen, ihnen den Tod zu bringen; sie werden sprechen: "Wo ist nun das, was ihr statt Allah anzurufen pflegtet?" Jene werden antworten: "Wir können sie nicht finden"; und sie werden gegen sich selbst Zeugnis ablegen, dass sie Ungläubige waren.

¿Quién es, pues, más injusto que quien urde una mentira contra Al-lah o tacha de falsedades sus Signos? Son éstos quienes correrán la suerte que se les ordenó hasta que Nuestros Mensajeros los visiten, para llevarse sus almas, y digan: “¿En dónde está lo que solíais invocar aparte de Al-lah?”. Responderán: “están completamente perdidos para nosotros”; y serán testigos contra ellos mismos de haber sido incrédulos.
اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
پس (بتاؤ کہ) اس سے زیادہ ظالم کون ہو سکتا ہے جو اللہ پر جھوٹ[1] (بول کر) افترا کرتا ہو‘ یا جس نے اللہ کی آیتوں کی تکذیب کی ہو‘ ان لوگوں کو مقررہ سزا میں سے اپنا حصہ پہنچتا رہے گا یہاں تک کہ جب ان کے پاس ہمارے فرشتے ان کی جانیں نکالنے کے لئے آجائیں گے تو وہ کہیں گے کہ وہ (شریک) کہاں ہیں جن کو تم اللہ کے سوا پکارتے تھے‘ اس وقت یہ لوگ جواب دیں گے کہ وہ تو ہم سے غائب ہو گئے اور وہ اپنے آپ پر خود گواہی دیں گے کہ وہ منکروں میں شامل تھے۔
افتراء سچا بھی ہوتا ہے اور جھوٹا بھی۔ سچا اس حالت میں کہ جو بات ایک شخص کسی کی طرف منسوب کرتا ہے وہ ہو تو سچی مگر قائل نے وہ بات نہ کہی ہو۔ اور جھوٹا اس صورت میں کہ جو بات قائل کی طرف منسوب کی جائے ہو بھی جھوٹی اور قائل نے کہی بھی نہ ہو۔

[b]Who is, then, more unjust than he who forges a lie against Allah or gives the lie to His Signs? Commentary:
The verse gives the reasons why the rejecters of Divine Messengers deserve severe punishment. People incur the wrath of God because they treat His Messenger as a liar and reject the heavenly signs he brings with him. Indeed, impostors and the rejecters of true Messengers are equally doomed and can never escape the punishment ordained for them.
The words, who shall have their lot as ordained, mean that the rejecters of God’s Messengers will see before their very eyes the fulfilment of the prophecies foretelling their defeat and discomfiture and shall taste of the punishment promised to them for opposing God’s Messengers.
اردو ترجمہ مودودی
ظاہر ہے کہ اُس سے بڑا ظالم اور کو ن ہو گا جو بالکل جھوٹی باتیں گھڑ کر اللہ کی طرف منسوب کرے یا اللہ کی سچی آیات کو جھٹلائے ایسے لوگ اپنے نوشتہ تقدیر کے مطابق اپنا حصہ پاتے رہیں گے، یہاں تک کہ وہ گھڑی آ جائے گی جب ہمارے بھیجے ہوئے فرشتے ان کی روحیں قبض کرنے کے لیے پہنچیں گے اُس وقت وہ اُن سے پوچھیں گے کہ بتاؤ، اب کہاں ہیں تمہارے وہ معبود جن کو تم کو خدا کے بجائے پکارتے تھے؟ وہ کہیں گے کہ، "سب ہم سے گم ہو گئے" اور وہ خود اپنے خلاف گواہی دیں گے کہ ہم واقعی منکر حق تھے

And who is more unjust than one who invents about Allah a lie or denies His verses? Those will attain their portion of the decree until when Our messengers come to them to take them in death, they will say, "Where are those you used to invoke besides Allah?" They will say, "They have departed from us," and will bear witness against themselves that they were disbelievers.

پھر اس سے زیادہ ظالم کون ہوگا الله پر بہتان باندھے یا اس کے حکموں کو جھٹلائے ان لوگوں کا جو کچھ نصیب ہے وہ ان کو مل جائے گا یہاں تک کہ جب ان کے ہاں ہمارے بھیجے ہوئے فرشتے ان کی روح قبض کرنے کے لیے آئيں گے تو کہیں گے کہ وہ کہاں گئے الله کو چھوڑ کر جن کی تم عبادت کرتے تھے کہیں گے ہم سے سب غائب ہو گئے اور اپنے کافر ہونے کااقرار کرنے لگیں گے

Then who (is) more unjust than (one) who invented against Allah a lie or denies His Verses? Those - will reach them their portion from the Book, until when comes to them Our messengers (Angels) (to) take them in death they say, "Where are those (whom) you used to invoke from besides Allah?" They say, "They strayed from us," and they (will) testify against themselves that they were disbelievers.

And who does greater evil than he who forges against God a lie, or cries lies to His signs? Those - their portion of the Book shall reach them; till, when Our messengers come to them, to take them away, they say, 'Where is that you were calling on, beside God?' They will say, 'They have gone astray from us, and they will bear witness against themselves that they were unbelievers.

Who is more unjust then he who invents a falsehood, ascribing it to Allah, or who rejects His revelation as false? Their full portion of God's Decree shall reach them, until Our deputed angels come to them to take charge of their souls, and say: 'Where are the deities now, those whom you invoked besides Allah?'
