وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَٰهُم بِٱلْعَذَابِ فَمَا ٱسْتَكَانُوا۟ لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
We did seize them with punishment, but they humbled not themselves to their Lord, nor would they supplicate in lowliness.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اور یقیناً ہم نے انہیں عذاب کے ذریعہ پکڑ لیا۔ پس نہ انہوں نے اپنے ربّ کے حضور عاجزی اختیار کی اور نہ وہ گریہ و زاری کرتے تھے۔

Nous les avons déjà saisis du châtiment, mais ils ne se sont pas humiliés devant leur Seigneur, et n’ont pas voulu supplier non plus ;

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
اور ہم نے ان کو سخت عذاب میں جکڑ رکھا ہے پھر بھی وہ اپنے رب کے سامنے عاجزانہ طور پر نہیں جھکے اور نہ اس کے سامنے گریہ و زاری کی۔

اِن کا حال تو یہ ہے کہ ہم نے انہیں تکلیف میں مبتلا کیا، پھر بھی یہ اپنے رب کے آگے نہ جھکے اور نہ عاجزی اختیار کرتے ہیں
