English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
And they worship beside Allah that which can do them no good nor harm them. And the disbeliever is a helper of Satan against his Lord.
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اور وہ اللہ کو چھوڑ کر ان کی عبادت کرتے ہیں جو نہ انہیں فائدہ پہنچا سکتے ہیں اور نہ انہیں نقصان پہنچا سکتے ہیں اور کافر اپنے ربّ کے بالمقابل (دوسروں کی) پشت پناہی کرنے والا ہے۔

Et ils adorent en dehors d’Allāh ce qui ne peut ni leur profiter ni leur nuire. Et le mécréant est toujours un support pour ceux qui luttent contre son Seigneur.

اور وہ (کافر) اللہ کے سوا ان کی عبادت کرتے ہیں جو نہ انہیں نفع دے سکتے ہیں اور نہ تکلیف پہنچا سکتے ہیں اور کافر ہمیشہ اپنے رب کے (جاری کردہ سلسلوں کے) خلاف ہوتا ہے۔

Commentary:
The particle علی meaning "against" the expression کان الکافر علی ربه ظھیرا would signify that the disbeliever helps and aids those who fight and combat the cause of God—the true religion.

اس خدا کو چھوڑ کر لوگ اُن کو پوج رہے ہیں جو نہ ان کو نفع پہنچا سکتے ہیں نہ نقصان، اور اوپر سے مزید یہ کہ کافر اپنے رب کے مقابلے میں ہر باغی کا مدد گار بنا ہوا ہے

But they worship rather than Allah that which does not benefit them or harm them, and the disbeliever is ever, against his Lord, an assistant [to Satan].
