English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
And if thou couldst see, when the angels take away the souls of those who disbelieve, smiting their faces and their backs, saying: ‘Taste ye the punishment of burning!

اور اگر تو دیکھ سکے (تو یہ دیکھے گا) کہ جب فرشتے ان لوگوں کو جنہوں نے کفر کیا وفات دیتے ہیں تو وہ ان کے چہروں اور ان کی پیٹھوں کو چوٹیں لگاتے ہیں اور (یہ کہتے ہیں کہ) سخت جلن کا عذاب چکھو۔

Et si tu pouvais voir quand les anges emportent l’âme des mécréants, leur frappant le visage et le dos, en disant : « Goûtez le châtiment de la Fournaise de l’Enfer. »

کاش کہ تو اس وقت کا تصور کرے جب ملائکہ کافروں کی روح قبض کرتے ہیں۔ اور ان کے مونہوں اور پیٹھوں پر ضربیں لگاتے جاتے ہیں اور (یہ کہتے جاتے ہیں کہ) ایک جلنے والا عذاب چکھو۔

English - Five Volume Translation
And if thou couldst see, [c]when the angels take away the souls of those who disbelieve, smiting their faces and their backs and saying:[d]‘Taste ye the punishment of burning![1139]
47:28.
3:182; 22:10.
Commentary:
The verse signifies that angels will smite the faces and the backs of disbelievers as a fitting punishment for their evil actions. The punishment corresponded with the actions of disbelievers, because the latter used to confront the believers and meet them face to face when fighting them. Again, they used to turn their backs disdainfully when truth was preached to them. So both faces and backs would receive punishment.

Commentary:
The expression من غم may also mean, on account of غم (anguish), or غم being case in apposition with the pronoun ھا (ha), the expression may mean, whenever they will seek to get out of it, i.e. out of غم (anguish).

Aussi goûtez le châtiment de vos œuvres, car vous aviez oublié la rencontre de votre jour que voici. Nous aussi, Nous vous avons oubliés. Et goûtez le châtiment durable pour ce que vous faisiez.
