وَزَكَرِيَّآ إِذْ نَادَىٰ رَبَّهُۥ رَبِّ لَا تَذَرْنِى فَرْدًا وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ ٱلْوَٰرِثِينَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
And remember Zachariah when he cried to his Lord, saying, ‘My Lord, leave me not childless, and Thou art the Best of inheritors.’
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
اور زکریا (کا بھی ذکر کر) جب اس نے اپنے ربّ کو پکارا کہ اے میرے ربّ! مجھے اکیلا نہ چھوڑ اور تُو سب وارثوں سے بہتر ہے۔

Et souviens-toi de Zacharie ; lorsqu’il supplia son Seigneur,en disant : « Mon Seigneur, ne me laisse pas seul sans enfant, et Tu es le Meilleur des héritiers. »

اور زکریا [1]کو بھی (یاد کر) جب اس نے اپنے رب کو پکارا تھا اور کہا تھا کہ اے میرے رب مجھے اکیلا نہ چھوڑ۔ اور تو وارث ہونے والوں میں سب سے بہتر ہے۔
زکریا علیہ السلام کا ذکر یہاں اس لئے کیا گیا ہے کہ اس کے بعد مریم اور اس کے بیٹے کا ذکر ہے جو زکریاؑ کے زمانہ کے اور اس کے رشتہ دار تھے۔
