أَوْ يُلْقَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِ كَنزٌ أَوْ تَكُونُ لَهُۥ جَنَّةٌ يَأْكُلُ مِنْهَا ۚ وَقَالَ ٱلظَّٰلِمُونَ إِن تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا رَجُلًا مَّسْحُورًا
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
‘Or a treasure should have been thrown down to him, or he should have had a garden to eat therefrom.’ And the wrongdoers say, ‘You follow none but a man bewitched.’
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
یا اس کی طرف کوئی خزانہ اُتارا جاتا یا اس کا کوئی باغ ہوتا جس سے یہ کھاتا۔ اور ظالموں نے کہا کہ تم لوگ یقیناً ایک ایسے آدمی کے سوا کسی کی پیروی نہیں کررہے جو سحرزدہ ہے۔
French
Ou bien, on aurait dû lui jeter d’en haut un trésor, ou il aurait dû avoir un jardin, pour qu’il en mangeât les fruits. » Et les injustes disent : « Vous ne suivez qu’un homme ensorcelé. »

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
یا اس پر کوئی خزانہ اتارا جاتا‘ یا اس کے پاس کوئی باغ ہوتا‘ جس کے پھل وہ کھاتا‘ اور ظالم کہتے ہیں کہ تم تو ایک ایسے آدمی کے پیچھے چل رہے ہو جس کو کھانا کھلایا جاتا [1]ہے۔
مَسْحُوْر کے معنے ایسے شخص کے ہیں جس کو کھانا دیا جائے۔ یعنی لوگ اس کو لالچ دینے کے لئے امداد دیں۔

Commentary:
The objection which was begun in the preceding verse is continued in the verse under comment. "The Prophet," the disbelievers say, "should have possessed treasures of wealth which he should have distributed among his followers. He should also have had other accessories of greatness in the form of gardens and fountains. But he has none of these things. He seems to be a bewitched, or, at best a self-deceived man, a man who lives in a world of his own imagination, in a fool’s paradise."
اردو ترجمہ مودودی
یا اور کچھ نہیں تو اِس کے لیے کوئی خزانہ ہی اتار دیا جاتا، یا اس کے پاس کوئی باغ ہی ہوتا جس سے یہ (اطمینان کی) روزی حاصل کرتا" اور ظالم کہتے ہیں "تم لوگ تو ایک سحر زدہ آدمی کے پیچھے لگ گئے ہو"
English - Sahih
Or [why is not] a treasure presented to him [from heaven], or does he [not] have a garden from which he eats?" And the wrongdoers say, "You follow not but a man affected by magic."

یا اس کے پاس کوئی خزانہ آجاتا یا اس کے لیے باغ ہوتا جس میں سےکھاتا اور بے انصافوں نے کہا کہ تم تو بس ایک ایسے شخص کے تابع ہوگئے جس پر جادو کیا گیا ہے

English - Arberry
Or why is not a treasure thrown to him, or why has he not a Garden to eat of?' The evildoers say, 'You are only following a man bewitched!'

Et tu ne t’attendais jamais à ce que le Livre te soit révélé ; mais c’est une miséricorde de la part de ton Seigneur ; ne sois donc jamais un soutien pour ceux qui refusent de croire.
German
Und du hattest selbst keine Hoffnung, dass dir das Buch offenbart würde; allein es ist eine Barmherzigkeit von deinem Herrn; darum sei den Ungläubigen nie ein Beistand.

你原未仰望你将受降一部 (完善的) 天经, [e]但这是出自你养主的仁慈, 所以你永远不要做不信者的帮手。

E tu non ti eri aspettavi mai che il libro venisse rivelato a te; ma si tratta di una misericordia del tuo Signore. Quindi, non essere mai d'aiuto a quelli che non credono.

Y nunca esperaste que el Libro te fuese revelado; sino que se trata de una misericordia de tu Señor; no seas, pues, ayudante de quienes no creen.

اور تو (کوئی) امید نہیں رکھتا تھا کہ تجھ پر ایک مکمل کتاب نازل کی جائے گی مگر تیرے رب کی طرف سے رحمت کے طور پر ایسا ہوا۔ پس تو کافروں کا مددگار کبھی نہ بنیئو۔

English - Sahih
And you were not expecting that the Book would be conveyed to you, but [it is] a mercy from your Lord. So do not be an assistant to the disbelievers.

اور تمہیں امید نہ تھی کہ تم پر کتاب اتاری جائے گی مگر تمہارے رب کی مہربانی ہوئی پھر تم کافروں کی طرفداری نہ کرنا

Thou didst not hope that the Book should be cast unto thee, except it be as a mercy from thy Lord; so be thou not a partisan of the unbelievers.

(O Prophet), you never looked forward for the Book to be revealed to you. It is out of sheer Mercy of your Lord that it was (revealed to you). So do not lend any support to the unbelievers.
