اَوۡ تَقُوۡلَ حِیۡنَ تَرَی الۡعَذَابَ لَوۡ اَنَّ لِیۡ کَرَّۃً فَاَکُوۡنَ مِنَ الۡمُحۡسِنِیۡنَ
English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
“Or lest it should say, when it sees the punishment, ‘Would that there were for me a return to the world, I would then be among those who do good!’”
اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ
یا یہ کہے جب وہ عذاب کو دیکھے کہ کاش! ایک دفعہ میرے لئے لوٹ کر جانا ممکن ہوتا تو میں ضرور نیکی کرنے والوں میں سے ہو جاتا۔

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر
یا جب عذاب کو دیکھے تو کہنے لگے کہ اگر مجھے واپس جانے کا موقعہ ملتا‘ تو میں محسنوں میں شامل ہو جاتا۔

Commentary:
The present and the previous two verses describe the state of a disbeliever when by his persistent evil deeds he incurs Divine displeasure, and punishment stares him in the face.

یا عذاب دیکھ کر کہے "کاش مجھے ایک موقع اور مل جائے اور میں بھی نیک عمل کرنے والوں میں شامل ہو جاؤں"
