English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ra
Moses said to his people, ‘Seek help from Allah and be steadfast. Verily, the earth is Allah’s ; He gives it as a heritage to whomsoever He pleases of His servants, and the end is for the God-fearing.’

موسیٰ نے اپنی قوم سے کہا کہ اللہ سے مدد چاہو اور صبر کرو۔ یقیناً مُلک اللہ ہی کا ہے وہ اپنے بندوں میں سے جسے چاہے گا اس کا وارث بنا دے گا اور عاقبت متقیوں کی ہی ہوا کرتی ہے۔

Moïse dit à son peuple : « Demandez aide auprès d’Allāh, et soyez constants. En vérité, c’est à Allāh qu’appartient la terre ; Il l’accorde en héritage à qui Il veut parmi Ses Serviteurs, et la fin heureuse sera pour ceux qui craignent Allāh. »

(اس پر) موسیٰ نے اپنی قوم سے کہا‘ اللہ سے مدد مانگتے رہو اور صبر سے کام لو۔ ملک تو اللہ کا ہے‘ اپنے بندوں میں سے جس کو چاہتا ہے اس کا وارث کر دیتا ہے اور (اچھا) انجام متقیوں کے ہی ہاتھ رہتا ہے۔

Commentary:
Pharaoh was proud of his power and dominion and was tyrannical in the extreme; so the Israelites are here comforted by Moses with an assurance that they need not be afraid of him, as his power shall be broken and his kingdom taken away from him.
The expression, He gives it as a heritage to whomsoever He pleases of His servants, does not necessarily mean that the Israelites were to be made to inherit Egypt after the destruction of Pharaoh. It only means that Pharaoh’s power was to be broken and others were to take possession of his kingdom. History tells us that after the destruction of Pharaoh and the break-up of his kingdom, another dynasty, who were friendly to the Israelites, took possession of the land.

موسیٰؑ نے اپنی قوم سے کہا "اللہ سے مدد مانگو اور صبر کرو، زمین اللہ کی ہے، اپنے بندوں میں سے جس کو چاہتا ہے اس کا وارث بنا دیتا ہے، اور آخری کامیابی انہی کے لیے جو اس سے ڈرتے ہوئے کام کریں"

Said Moses to his people, 'Pray for succour to God, and be patient; surely the earth is God's and He bequeaths it to whom He will among His servants. The issue ultimate is to the godfearing.'

Commentary:
Pharaoh was proud of his power and dominion and was tyrannical in the extreme; so the Israelites are here comforted by Moses with an assurance that they need not be afraid of him, as his power shall be broken and his kingdom taken away from him.
The expression, He gives it as a heritage to whomsoever He pleases of His servants, does not necessarily mean that the Israelites were to be made to inherit Egypt after the destruction of Pharaoh. اور (یاد کرو) جب موسیٰ نے اپنی قوم سے کہا کہ اللہ کی نعمت کو یاد کرو جو اس نے تم پر کی جب اس نے تمہیں فرعون کی قوم سے نجات بخشی۔ وہ تمہیں بدترین عذاب دیتے تھے اور تمہارے بیٹوں کو تو ہلاک کر دیتے تھے اور تمہاری عورتوں کو زندہ رکھتے تھے۔ اور اس میں تمہارے ربّ کی طرف سے (تمہارے لئے) بہت بڑا ابتلا تھا۔

Et souviens-toi lorsque Moïse dit à son peuple : « Rappelez-vous le bienfait d’Allāh sur vous, lorsqu’Il vous délivra du peuple de Pharaon qui vous infligeait le pire tourment, tuant vos fils et épargnant vos femmes ; et il y avait là, pour vous, une très grande épreuve de la part de votre Seigneur. »

Und (erinnere dich) wie Moses zu seinem Volke sprach: "Seid eingedenk der Gnade Allahs gegen euch, als Er euch errettete vor den Leuten Pharaos, die euch mit schlimmer Qual bedrückten, eure Söhne erschlugen und eure Frauen am Leben ließen; und darin lag eine schwere Prüfung für euch von eurem Herrn."

Commentary:
The verse means that Pharaoh afflicted the Israelites with grievous torment. He imposed heavy taxes and forced labour upon them and killed their male children. But God came to their help and saved them from this grievous torment. In this connection see Exod. 1:14, 22.

یاد کرو جب موسیٰؑ نے اپنی قوم سے کہا "اللہ کے اُس احسان کو یاد رکھو جو اس نے تم پر کیا ہے اس نے تم کو فرعون والوں سے چھڑایا جو تم کو سخت تکلیفیں دیتے تھے، تمہارے لڑکوں کو قتل کر ڈالتے تھے اور تمہاری عورتوں کو زندہ بچا رکھتے تھے اس میں تمہارے رب کی طرف سے تمہاری بڑی آزمائش تھی
