17:109

وَيَقُولُونَ سُبْحَٰنَ رَبِّنَآ إِن كَانَ وَعْدُ رَبِّنَا لَمَفْعُولًا

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

“And say, ‘Holy is our Lord. Surely, the promise of our Lord is bound to be fulfilled.’”

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور وہ کہتے تھے ہمارا ربّ پاک ہے یقیناً ہمارے ربّ کا وعدہ تو بہرحال پورا ہوکر رہنے والا ہے۔

French

Et disent : « Saint est notre Seigneur ! Assurément, la promesse de notre Seigneur ne manquera pas d’être accomplie. »

German

und sprechen: "Preis unserem Herrn! Siehe, unseres Herrn Verheißung wird sich wahrlich erfüllen."»

Chinese

他们说: “我们的养主是高洁(而无瑕疵的), [b]我们养主的诺言是必定要履行的。”

E dicono: Santo è il nostro Signore. Di certo la promessa del Nostro Signore è destinata a compiersi.»

Spanish

Y dicen: “Santo es nuestro Señor. En verdad, la promesa de nuestro Señor debe cumplirse”.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور کہتے ہیں (کہ) ہمارا رب (ہر ایک عیب سے) پاک ہے اور (یہ کہ) ہمارے رب کا وعدہ ضرور[2] پورا ہو کر رہنے والا ہے۔

اس سے معلوم ہوتا ہے کہ یہاں یہ ذکر ہے کہ جو یہودی قرآن پر ایمان لائے ہیں۔ اس بات پر بھی ایمان لاتے ہیں کہ ایک دفعہ پھر فلسطین آئیں گے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

And say, ‘Holy is our Lord. [a]Surely, the promise of our Lord is bound to be fulfilled.’

English - Five Volume Translation

And say, ‘Holy is our Lord. [b]Surely, the promise of our Lord is bound to be fulfilled.’[2037]

Commentary:

The words سبحان ربنا (Holy is our Lord) show that it was inevitable that the cause of Islam should prosper and its opponents should be completely discomfited and overthrown. For if it had not been so, it would have constituted a reflection on the glory and Holiness of God Who had promised success and victory to Muslims and defeat and discomfiture to disbelievers.

اور پکار اٹھتے ہیں "پاک ہے ہمارا رب، اُس کا وعدہ تو پورا ہونا ہی تھا"

English - Sahih

And they say, "Exalted is our Lord! Indeed, the promise of our Lord has been fulfilled."

اورکہتے ہیں ہمارا رب پاک ہے بے شک ہمارے رب کا وعدہ ہو کر رہے گا

English - Talal Itani

And they say, "Glory be to our Lord! Indeed, is (the) promise (of) our Lord surely fulfilled."
