وَجَعَلْنَٰهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَهْدُونَ بِأَمْرِنَا وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْهِمْ فِعْلَ ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ وَإِقَامَ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَإِيتَآءَ ٱلزَّكَوٰةِ ۖ وَكَانُوا۟ لَنَا عَٰبِدِينَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

And We made them leaders who guided people by Our command, and We sent revelation to them enjoining the doing of good works, and the observing of Prayer, and the giving of alms. And they were worshippers of Us alone.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور ہم نے انہیں ایسے امام بنایا جو ہمارے حکم سے ہدایت دیتے تھے اور ہم انہیں اچھی باتیں کرنے اور نماز قائم کرنے اور زکوٰۃ دینے کی وحی کرتے تھے۔ اور وہ ہماری عبادت کرنے والے تھے۔

French

Et Nous fîmes d’eux des chefs qui guidèrent les hommes d’après Notre commandement, et Nous leur envoyâmes la révélation enjoignant l’accomplissement de bonnes œuvres, et l’observance de la Prière et l’acquittement de la Zakāte. Et ils n’adoraient que Nous Seul.

Und Wir machten sie zu Führern, die (die Menschen) leiteten nach Unserem Geheiß, und Wir sandten ihnen Offenbarung, Gutes zu tun, das Gebet zu verrichten und Almosen zu geben. Und sie verehrten Uns allein.

[b]我使他们成为领袖, 他们奉我的旨意领导人们, 我启示他们力行善事、固守拜功、交纳天课。他们 (只) 是拜我的。

E li costituimmo capi a guida del popolo per Nostro ordine, e inviammo loro una rivelazione, ingiungendo di praticare le buone opere, e l'osservanza della preghiera, e la donazione di elemosine. Ed essi adorarono Noi soltanto.

Spanish

Los convertimos en jefes que guiaron a las gentes iguiendo Nuestra orden, y les enviamos la revelación que ordenaba la ejecución de buenas obras, el cumplimiento de la Oración y la entrega de limosnas. Y sólo Nos adoraron a nosotros.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

اور ہم نے ان کو (لوگوں کا) امام بنایا۔ وہ ہمارے حکم سے ان کو ہدایت دیتے تھے اور ہم نے ان کی طرف نیک کام کرنے اور نماز قائم کرنے اور زکو ۃ دینے کی وحی کی اور وہ سب ہمارے عبادت گذار بندے تھے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

[c]And We made them leaders who guided people by Our command, and We sent revelation to them enjoining the doing of good works, and the observance of Prayer, and the giving of alms. And Us alone they worshipped.

[b]And We made them leaders who guided people by Our command, and We sent revelation to them enjoining the doing of good works, and the observance of Prayer, and the giving of alms. And Us alone they worshipped.[2406]

Commentary:

God chose leaders of religious movements from among the progeny of Abraham in fulfilment of his prayer referred to in 2:125. A similar promise in regard to the raising of Divine Reformers in every age from among his followers was made to the Holy Prophet (Abu Dawud). This promise is also implicit in the famous prayer, i.e. Darud, viz. "O Lord bestow thy blessings upon Muhammad as Thou didst bestow Thy blessings upon Abraham." Divine Reformers continued to appear among the progeny of Abraham till, with the rejection of Jesus by the Jews, they were deprived of this boon for all times and prophethood was transferred to the House of Ishmael in fulfilment of the above-said prayer. Divine teachers are now raised from among the followers of the Holy Prophet in every century to regenerate Islam and they will continue to do so till the end of time. The fulfilment of the prayer implicit in Darud establishes the superiority of the Holy Prophetover Abraham because whereas Divine teachers ceased to appear among the progeny of Abraham after Jesus, they will continue to appear among his followers as long as this world lasts.

اور ہم نے اُن کو امام بنا دیا جو ہمارے حکم سے رہنمائی کرتے تھے اور ہم نے انہیں وحی کے ذریعہ نیک کاموں کی اور نماز قائم کرنے اور زکوٰۃ دینے کی ہدایت کی، اور وہ ہمارے عبادت گزار تھے

English - Sahih

And We made them leaders guiding by Our command. And We inspired to them the doing of good deeds, establishment of prayer, and giving of zakah; and they were worshippers of Us.

اورہم نے انہیں پیشوا بنایا جو ہمارے حکم سے رہنمائی کیا کرتے تھے اور ہم نے انہیں اچھے کام کرنے اور نماز قائم کرنے اور زکوٰة دینے کا حکم دیا تھا اور وہ ہماری ہی بندگی کیا کرتے تھے

And We made them leaders, they guide by Our Command. And We inspired to them (the) doing (of) good deeds, and establishment (of) the prayer and giving (of) zakah; and they were of Us worshippers.
