وَإِن يُكَذِّبُوكَ فَقَدْ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍ وَعَادٌ وَثَمُودُ

And if they accuse thee of falsehood, even so, before them, the people of Noah and the tribes of ‘Ad and Thamud also accused their Prophets of falsehood.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

اور اگر وہ تجھے جھٹلا دیں تو اُن سے پہلے قومِ نوح نے بھی جھٹلا دیا تھا اور عاد اور ثمود نے بھی۔

French

Et s’ils t’accusent de mensonges, de même, avant eux, le peuple de Noé, et les ‘Ād et les Thamūd ont aussi accusé leurs Prophètes de mensonges ;

Wenn sie dich der Lüge bezichtigen, so haben schon vor ihnen das Volk Noahs und die ´Âd und die Thamûd (ihre Propheten) der Lüge bezichtigt;

[a]如果他们 (这些敌人) 谴责你说谎, 那么, 在他们以前, 努哈的民族、阿德和洒姆德的部族也谴责 (他们的先知) 说谎;

اور اگر (یہ دشمن) تجھے جھٹلاتے ہیں‘ تو ان سے پہلے نوح کی قوم نے بھی‘ اور عاد اور ثمود نے بھی‘

English - Short Commentary Translation

[b]And if they accuse thee of falsehood, even so, before them, the people of Noah and the tribes of ‘Ad and Thamud also accused their Prophets of falsehood;

[a]And if they accuse thee of falsehood, even so, before them, the people of Noah and the tribes of ‘Ad and Thamud also accused their Prophets of falsehood.[2473]

Commentary:

The verse means to say that those who reject God’s Prophets and do not observe the principles laid down in the preceding verses invite and incur Divine wrath. As an illustration the verse gives the instances of the people of Noah, and of the tribes of ‘Ad and Thamud. These peoples were visited with God’s punishment because they ignored and defied His commandments.

اے نبیؐ، اگر وہ تمہیں جھٹلاتے ہیں تو اُن سے پہلے قوم نوحؑ اور عاد اور ثمود

English - Sahih

And if they deny you, [O Muhammad] - so, before them, did the people of Noah and 'Aad and Thamud deny [their prophets],
