24:6

إِلَّا ٱلَّذِينَ تَابُوا۟ مِنۢ بَعْدِ ذَٰلِكَ وَأَصْلَحُوا۟ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

Except those who repent thereafter and make amends, for truly Allah is Most Forgiving, Merciful.

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

مگر وہ لوگ جنہوں نے اس کے بعد توبہ کرلی اور اپنی اصلاح کر لی تو یقیناً اللہ بہت بخشنے والا (اور) بار بار رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

French

Sauf ceux qui s’en repentent par la suite et se corrigent : car en vérité Allāh est Très-Pardonnant, Miséricordieux.

German

außer jenen, die hernach bereuen und sich bessern; denn wahrlich, Allah ist allvergebend, barmherzig.

Chinese

[a]只有那些后来悔罪改善的人是例外。(对于这样做的人) 安拉的确是最宽恕者, 永久仁慈者。

4:18.

Italian

eccettuati coloro che in seguito si pentono e ne fanno ammenda, poiché veramente Allah è Colui che sommamente perdona, il Misericordioso.

Spanish

Excepto quienes se arrepientan después y se enmienden, pues en verdad Al‑lah es el Sumo Indulgente, Misericordioso.

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

سوائے ان کے جو بعد میں توبہ کر لیں اور اصلاح کر لیں۔ سو (ایسا کرنے پر) اللہ یقیناً بہت بخشنے والا (اور) باربار رحم کرنے والا ہے۔

English - Short Commentary Translation

Except those who [a]repent thereafter and make amends, for truly Allah is Most Forgiving,[2029] Merciful.

4:18.

Opinions differ as to which of the punishments prescribed for slandering is to be remitted after a slanderer repents and makes amends. The question of the first punishment does not arise because the corporal punishment is administered as soon as the offence of the guilty person is proved. The last two punishments can only be remitted after a real and true repentance is proved.

سوائے اُن لوگوں کے جو اس حرکت کے بعد تائب ہو جائیں اور اصلاح کر لیں کہ اللہ ضرور (اُن کے حق میں) غفور و رحیم ہے

مگر جنہوں نے اس کے بعد توبہ کر لی اور درست ہو گئے تو بے شک الله ہی بخشنے والا نہایت رحم والا ہے
