لَقَدۡ وُعِدۡنَا ہٰذَا نَحۡنُ وَاٰبَآؤُنَا مِنۡ قَبۡلُ اِنۡ ہٰذَاۤ اِلَّاۤ اَسٰطِیۡرُ الۡاَوَّلِیۡنَ

English - Hazrat Molavi Sher Ali ^ra

‘We were surely promised this before — we and our fathers; this is nothing but tales of the ancients.’

اردو ترجمہ مرزا طاہر احمد خلیفة المسیح الرابعؒ

یقیناً یہ وعدہ ہمیں اور ہمارے آباءو اجداد کو پہلے بھی دیا گیا تھا۔ یہ تو پہلے لوگوں کی کہانیوں کے سواکچھ نہیں۔

French

Ceci nous a certes été promis auparavant – à nous et à nos pères ; ce ne sont que des fables des anciens. »

German

Verheißen ward uns dies zuvor – uns und unseren Vätern; dies sind ja nur Fabeln der Alten."

Chinese

[b]“在这之前, 我们和我们的祖先曾受过这样的许约。但这只是前人的故事罢了, (它永没有实现过。)”

Certo, ci era stato promesso già prima, a noi e ai nostri padri; ma non si tratta che di favole degli antichi.»

اردو تفسیرِ صغیر

ہم اور ہمارے باپ دادوں سے اس سے پہلے بھی ایسا ہی وعدہ کیا گیا تھا۔ مگریہ صرف پہلے لوگوں کی باتیں ہیں (جو کبھی پوری نہیں ہوتیں)

اردو ترجمہ مودودی

یہ خبریں ہم کو بھی بہت دی گئی ہیں اور پہلے ہمارے آباء اجداد کو بھی دی جاتی رہی ہیں، مگر یہ بس افسانے ہی افسانے ہیں جو اگلے وقتوں سے سُنتے چلے آ رہے ہیں"

اس کا تو ہم سے اور ہمارےپہلے باپ دادا سے وعدہ ہوتا آیا ہے یہ تو صرف پہلوں کی کہانیاں ہیں
